"Hopefully" it was some idiot's idea of a joke. I remember in the days after the Virginia Tech shootings a Berkeley law student thought it would be hysterical to post something on the internet about going over to another law school and shooting people. The FBI and local police took it seriously even though the guy pulled the post within a few minutes.

Then as now, better safe than sorry!

Interesting that this one threat made the news but the others didn't. Think the fact that the threat contained "Disneyland" in it had something to do with that?

It's human nature to ignore threats until something actually happens if there hasn't been any precedence prior. I'm sure any mention of knife attacks in Japan will quickly draw attention now.
