My apple has 80 calories for a 5 oz apple.... well I just weighed this apple I am about to eat... it weighs 13 oz's thats 200+ calories if I eat the whole thing. For someone watching their calories thats no good. YIPES!

edited to change title from Man fruit... LMAO

LOL! I was trying to figure out what a man fruit was. Don't ask.;) Fruit is loaded with sugars too.

I knoe what yer mean :(

you should have some fruit in your diet thou...the good news with apples is thar not bad in dietary fiber.

Most folks would be surprized by fruit calories...if you look up the Kcals by oz and actually weigh the fruit...like so many other things...even fruit's been 'supersized'...these days.

When I produce shop, I try to find the smallest bananas, apples, bunches of grapes ect. Even if I buy the "you pick out" stuff rather than the pre wrapped (usally by the pound) I will.

but don't feel too much "guilt" ;) :

Actually I got them at Whole Foods.... they are Organic Jonagold apples... very very delicious :)

The closest that SSB could find:

"The Fall Of Man, Fruit-Trees" on Yahoo.

Hey, you have me worried... I'll bet grapes are way caloric!!!

:)

YIKES!! I just finished eating a banana too. I am trying to lose a few pounds and I've been watching my fat/calorie intake. I was hungry, so I figured a piece of fruit would be good.

I might as well eat a cookie?:p

Let's see: 1 banana = how many cookies?

I think though that the sugars in a piece of fruit are much better than processed sugar when trying to lose weight, so maybe it's not so bad.

I've been eating apples too. Big ones.

I think it's back to carrot sticks:rolleyes:
