As reported by CNN.

Last Thursday a man fell asleep on space mountain and had to be woken up by a CM. Someone thought the man passed out, but when he started snoring they realized he was sleeping. When he awoke he asked if the ride started yet. He was real tired and as soon as he boarded the ride he immediately fell asleep. He suffers from a sleep disorder where he can sleep through some tough enviorns.

This brings sound sleeper to a new level.

How did he not break his neck?

That is too funny, and I thought I was a Heavy sleeper. LOL Glad he did hurt himself. ::yes::

Sounds like the man is suffering from Narcolepsy, not really something to joke about when an illness causes you to fall asleep without notice. It can be quite dangerous for those who suffer from it.

Sounds like the ride needs to be updated if it is getting that boring. Have you ever seen how small the ride really is? I've been inside Space Mountain with the lights on, the actual rollercoaster part is tiny in the center of the dome.

That is how I felt watching Kerry debate. That man could put anybody to sleep. :o
Really? I found him quite scary to listen to and had trouble keeping up with his doubletalk.

Narcolepsy is serious, I don't mean to make light of it.

Yes, the ride is THAT boring. I'm not joking. I was very tired when I rode the ride, and if not due to the jolts during the course of the ride, I would've been asleep.

I can only feel sorry for people suffering from narcolepsy - it doesn't make them any less intelligent, adaptive or sharp but it does strip away at their ability to cope on their own. Narcolepsy can be so strong that Space Mountain or even Kraken would present no problem whatsoever.

I have also seen it when the lights are on and it is a tiny twisted pile of metal. It looks like an erector set. I was told by a CM that it is the slowest roller coaster at WDW. He said that it's top speed is about 28 mph. In comparison, Test Track & Rock & Rollercoaster have top speeds in the mid 60's.
