Man, am I spoiled!!!

I took advantage of the low rates at the Courtyard Marriot over this past weekend. While I was glad to be at the World, I didn't experience the same magic. We went to the Boardwalk several times, first to see the Christmas decorations, and a couple of other times just to wistfully look around our home away from home and wish we were staying there instead. I felt like a poor relation!!

The transportation from the DD resorts sucks. It was a hassle to get anywhere. The resort and room were adequate. And that's about the best thing I can say. The Disney magic was conspicuously missing-- Mickey doesn't call to wake you up, there are none of the special touches that make you realize that you're at Disney World, the DD buses play the *radio* for heavens sake, not Disney music. It just wasn't the same.

I just can't wait until March when I will finally be Home for eight nights! I'm looking forward to trying out those refillable mugs!!

Me too.
We just came back from WDW last week. While planning this trip, I could have secured a 1br at Vistana through RCI Instant escapes for $199 for a whole week.(We own other timeshares and are RCI members) Since we only wanted 3 nights, we checked out the rental board and found 48 points for rent at $7 per point $336. A studio at OKW for a Fri, Sat, and Sun was 48 points. Instead of borrowing points, we rented these points after finding availability for the weekend we wanted. So, I spent $136 more to go home then stay at Vistana which many say is a nice resort but, it was worth it!!!.....spruce

We have to fly in a day ahead of our OKW ressie. Got an incredible AP price for one night at AKL Savannah view. We figured we would never have a need to stay there since we have DVC, but a night here and there sounds like fun!

I have to second your opinion about the Courtyard at LBV. I've stayed at Marriott properties in most of the 50 states and several foriegn countries. I've never been more underwhelmed than I was in my 2 (trust me, there will NOT be 3) stays at this location!
