As an ABBA fan I was surprised to see the musical Mamma Mia turned into a movie and I got the soundtrack to the movie and that led me to see the movie. And once I saw it in the theater with my parents Mom and I were singing along with the songs and so did everyone else in the theater. But Meryl Streep shines when she sings The Winner Takes It All and I never knew she had a wonderful voice that could sing so well. I also have seen Mamma Mia II which is also excellent too. Mom also wants to see the musical Mamma Mia someday because she loves the storyline
Has anyone seen Mamma Mia before?

Yes love the movie.
Love Abba.
Could have seen the stage musical last year but unfortunately I was having surgery the week before and knew I would not feel up for sitting in a theater chair for a few hours.

Dd and I are the odd ducks. We thought the movie was terrible. I have seen the touring musical five times, two local professional productions, and 1 community theater version. We LOVE the stage show, but thought they did a terrible job moving it to the screen.
That said we LOVED the sequel and I watch it often.

I've never seen the movie, but I saw the stage production last year at Shea's in Buffalo and my daughter's high school just did it for their spring musical this year and they did a really good job. I enjoy ABBA, I could take or leave the Mamma Mia story that they shoehorned all the songs into, but it was entertaining.

Allure of the Seas has Mama Mia as their production show and it is fantastic.

I was surprised at how well they made Mamma Mia into a movie and Meryl Streep really did her amazing job and Pierce Brosnan was such a fantastic singer that I don't know how he did it but he sure could sing so well and he should release an album someday in the future. After seeing Mamma Mia the movie in the theater Mom gave me her copy of the ABBA Gold album and then I started collecting more ABBA albums. Now Mamma Mia II I don't know why it was made but to me although it was cool the movie's storyline was confusing but I think Cher really made that Mamma Mia great and she does an outstanding job on Fernando

I saw a touring production in Los Angeles in 2003 then again on Broadway in 2011.

Looove Mamma Mia! I was raised listening to Abba on car trips, thanks to my dad. I’ve seen both the movie and the stage production countless times. But my favorite was getting to be in a community theater production in 2019, WITH my dad that got me hooked on the show in the first place. He got his dream role…Father Alex 😂, and I was in the ensemble. Such an amazing memory! Here’s a picture of both of us on-set.
