Hi there,
Have a family of 5, hubby and I, 3 kids - all eat like birds ...the kids that is..(9,6, and 3). I usually only order 2 kids meals for the 3 of them and still always throw out food. We will have the DDP, but I was hoping I could book 2 adults and 2 children and use the credit elsewhere. Do you see any reason why we wouldn't be able to share? 3 year old will probably sit on our lap for the show anyway...heard it is a bit scary.

While you may be able to share four meals among five people, you MUST make dining reservations for the number of people who will be at the table.

Great choice, try there sangria it's great.

FYI, we went to Fantasmic with some friends of ours, we both have four year old daughters. My daughter tends to scare easily, but the other four year old doesn't have that problem. There were only two things at Disney that scared her, A Bugs Life and Fantasmic. Fantasmic was terrifying for them. If your three year old is at all timid, be prepared. The girls were climbing on us, trying to hide, etc. Very loud, lots of scary images. In retrospect, we probably should have left, there was very little if anything the girls liked at the show. Of course, I am sure your older children will love it.

I hate to have to pay for 5 in the package if we will only throw out food, especially since I know ds will sit on our lap anyway, because of the type of show. I was wondering if anyone has been successful at getting in an extra kid. When i make the dinner ressie, i was planning to say he was 2. I'm not asking for extra food, or even an extra seat, just to slip him in the door. Do 2 year olds get "fantasmic tickets". Maybe we could "lose one of the kids tickets?" Thank you about the scary warning. I may plan this for a little later in our stay so if he freaks, it won't affect the whole vacation. I have held off on our previous 2 trips for our girls because of this. I think he will be ok if we hold him.

If you're worried about the plan not being worth it, I'd just skip it. Honestly, if you get to Fantasmic at least 45-30 minutes ahead of time, you'll more than likely get a seat. It's a HUGE ampitheater.

My cousin just got back and said her 4 year old hated Fantasmic because there were "too many bad people" for her liking. :)

You have 3 choices:
1) Skip the FDP.
2) Pay for your 3 year old. You're paying for acess to the special section, not for a specific seat. The amount of food your 3 year old consumes is a red herring. You're paying more for the restaurant's overhead then for the cost of food.
3) Lie and cheat.

There isn't a single poster that is enpowered by Disney to make an exception for you. Are you looking for posters to tell you it's Ok? Are you looking for posters to tell you you'll get away with it?

What are you planning on doing about tickets or other meals? Once you decide to lie about your chid's age you might as well be consistent.

We will be on the DDP. My son will be listed at his real age with park tickets and a meal plan. At all the other restraunts the 3 children will share 2 meals, as they do at any other restaurant we go to. His meals will be used for breakfasts at our hotels food court. I suppose we could just eat at the restaurant, and not do the package. Yes I am looking to "sneak" him into the "special" seating. I am not asking others to speculate whether this will be allowed, wondering if anyone has done it. judge all you want...I don't think this is dishonest, not asking for extra food or even a seat.

Same as a buffet, your card will say 2A3C. The server should debit your account 2 adult and 3 children table service credits. The age of your youngest child is known. By using the dining plan you're limiting your ability to lie.

Plenty of posters "forget" their kids age. It's harder when the age varies from meal to meal.

Sorry but a plan that requires you to lie about the age of your child is automatically dishonest.

The value of a child TS credit is maybe $5. You'll have to decide if the drink, a little bit of food and the preferential seating is worth it.

Not worth the anxiety over it....just going to used 2adult 3 child credits as we would at a buffet, and plan to have him share other table service meals. :grouphug: .....will make sure everyone is good and hungry!!!
