Mama Melrose's or Hollywood & Vine?

Mama Melrose 100% better.

We've eaten at H & V for dinner...it was OK, nothing special. Slow service. Had breakfast there in May...the worst service ever and the place was virtually empty so no excuses for why everything took so long. Food was fine at breakfast, but very little variety (had just eaten Crystal Palace breakfast buffet the day before...H & V did not have near as many choices.)

When we were there in February, H&V was not very good. The service was fine, but the restaurant was already a mess at 4:45, and the buffet really wasn't too good - and we're not picky eaters. We wouldn't go back.

We had dinner at Mama Melrose's and it was tasty - not top of the line Italian, but good. I had a pizza and my hubby had the pasta with sausage and peppers - both were fine. Their tiramisu was very delicious! However, we had a waitress that was awful - forgot the kids' drinks, didn't come back for-EVER to take our order, etc. She actually apologized, even though we didn't say anything. Funny thing is, she only had 4 tables! I'm not sure how she would have coped had it been busy.

I'd go with Mama's...
