Mama Melrose?

for us every time we go. This is one of my husbands favorite places to eat in Disney. We know good italian food (we lived in Boston's north end for 6 years so we've had the really good stuff) but we when were in Disney we know we are not going to get what we would get there so we take it for what it is, a good place to eat with EXCELLENT sangria! To me it's like going to the rose n corwn and expecting the real fish n chips you would get in ireland (I know it's an english restaurant but I'm from Ireland so I compare it to that) it's still a good place but your not in england your in Disney. You made a great choice, enjoy and try the Sangria!!!

We have always had a good meal here. We are going again in just a few weeks. Enjoy!!

We eat here every year with the Fantasmic package. No, it is not gourmet food, but we have always had good food and good service. DH really likes the bread appetizer and the chicken parmesan (he's had something else, but I can't remember it off the top of my head); I've had the flatbread pizzas--different varieties, and they've always been very good. We've always had great service too. We are dining there this Monday for our first night at Disney.

We ate at MM on our last trip and did not regret it! I was a little scared because not all the reviews for MM here at the Dis were favorable, but we decided to try it out for ourselves anyway. We were happy that we still went there and would go back.

Try the Sangria. :wizard:

We havent eaten there yet, but have ADR's there next month. I am really excited about it. I also take reviews with a grain of salt and like to make my own decisions when it comes to restaurants.

It's hot bad it's not great it's a decent meal. Go with low expectations and you might be pleasantly surprised!

Df and myself ate at Mama Melrose's for the first time during our Dec '07 trip and thought it was great! :thumbsup2

The service was really good; our waitress was excellent. She found out we had just gotten engaged and brought us each a complimentary glass of wine and a special little dessert! It was really sweet! I thoroughly enjoyed my meal (I had chicken parm) and Df loved his too (He had some kind of shrimp dish but I forget what exactly it was). We'd definitely go back there again.

Does anyone know if they serve wood grilled tuna at Dinner? If so, what does it come with and is it "raw" or fully cooked? (DH loves seared tuna!)

Thanks!

Two words (and sorry for those that love Mama Melrose) - Not Memorable. We tried it during our May trip and we found it to be average. Food was average, service was average and whole overall experience average. We usually do Brown Derby but wanted to try this place out - I don't necessarily regret trying it but for our upcoming Xmas trip - back to Brown Derby it is.
