Mama Melrose VS. Fantasmic

We have ADR @ Mama Melrose @ 6:55. Would it prevent us from seeing the 8:30 Fantasmic! show? If so, should we skip Mama Melrose altogether to see Fantasmic! or is the food really worth it? I figure we have enough time to see all of DHS in one full day, but my kids--DD12 and DD9-- might want to come back for more, so I might schedule another half day which could include Fantasmic!, but we won't know until we spend the day there (might want to spend extra time at MK instead...). Basically, I want to know if Mama Melrose is worth the extra time (Toy Story pizza seems to be good enough for us!) Thanks all for your help!

IMO, Mama Melrose's is not worth a meal even if you have all the time in the world. I'm sure there are people out there who enjoy meals at Mama Melrose's, however, we just came back from a trip Sunday where we ate at Mama Melrose's and it became a standing joke of the trip. The food was terrible. We were a party of 8, 2 of the entrees came old freezing cold, three meals had a sauce that seemed to be burnt, and all the pasta was limp and appeared to have been out for awhile. The only edible food was the flatbread, and even that wasn't really to my liking. Of course, I'm a little spoiled having the North End of Boston in my backyard so it's tough for me to find Italian food I enjoy outside of where I live. However, I think most anyone would not have enjoyed that meal.

I do like Mama Melrose food is good here. But if you have never seen Fantasmic then skip it.

We love Mama Melrose and eat here every year. However, if you have not seen Fantasmic and want to see it, the time of your ressie probably won't get you out in time. So I'd say skip it and go see the show. However, I'd stay away from Pizza Planet. We find Disney pizza to be worse than Dominoes--and we thought that was the worse pizza on Planet Earth!

Skip Mama Melrose and go see Fantasmic - I was not impressed with the food at all and was probably my worst dining experience in the parks.

We love Mama Melroses:lovestruc

We eat there every trip....

Don't think you could make it with an almost 7pm dining time. You may have alittle bit of a wait, then figure about 1 hour - 1hr :15min. or so to eat.

Which wont give you much time to make it across the park & get seating.
