Mama Melrose v H&V

Hi peeps

I've currently got a ressie booked for MM but there are no Fantasmic packages available. There is however a H&V available......

So.....do you think it's worth swapping over or stick with what I've got?

We ate at H&V 4 years ago for the Fantasmic pkg. It was good. Fine really. We were'nt overly impressed, but it was fine. Two years ago we ate at MM, and had heard lots of good things. I wasn't a bit impressed, except by the tomato and mozzarella salad...that was delish! Otherwise, very ho hum, and our server stunk.

Overall, I think I preferred H&V, but it's been a long time.

H&V is one of three Disney restaurants we will never step foot into again. It's really up to you...do you want the passes for Fantasmic? Then go with H&V. If you don't mind standing in line, then definitnely stick with MM.

H&V was totally gross food wise, service was non existant

MM had great service and the food was good

I did not like H&V at all I would go to Mama Melrose and just go to fantasmic on your own

I'm in the minority....but I think H & V is honestly pretty good. Service has always been good when we've been there and we like the selection. MM was nothing special the 2 times we tried it. The food was ok and the service was alright. Just keep in mind if doing H & V that it is a buffet and expect buffet food. With that said....we've ate there numerous times and still go back.

We were in exactly the same position as you when calling for ADRs. We wanted MM F! but no F! available. We have never tried MM and DN loves Italian food. However, we have eaten at H&V before. It is perfectly fine--nothing to get excited about, but fine. We have H&V F! this time. MM will have to wait for another trip.
