Mama Melrose Review and Pics!

We LOVE this restaurant and usually go here for lunch! It is one of MGM's best kept secret! We never have PS and get in always without a problem. We do tend to eat lunch at 11:30 so that is one reason! Anyway...We all have our favorites!

1st - I have to have their Fresh Mozzarella and Tomatoes with Marinated Sweet Onions, Balsamic Drizzle, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and Basil. It is to die for!!!! We all share a little of this! $5.99

My DS loves their Individual Wood-Fired Flatbreads and gets a Four Cheese with Asiago, Mozzarella, Provolone, and Gorgonzola
$11.49


My DH ALWAYS gets their Linguini Fra Diavolo with Clams, Calamari, Mussels, and Shrimp tossed in a spicy Marinara Sauce $17.99. WARNING..........This dish is SPICY HOT! It will open your sinuses! LOLOLOL! Also, I eat some and my DS tastes it and we still can never seem to empty this bowl!!! A Great deal guys!

I get a Grilled Portobello Mushroom over a warm Cheese Terrine, Gorgonzola Cheese, and a red wine Reduction...AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Perfection! $5.99

I also get a glass of red wine...this time I got Robert Mondavi Coastal Cabernet Sauvignon, $7.25.

Both my DH and DS got Caesar Salads $8.00 total for both

My DH had Coffee and my DS had Coke $4.00 total

Total w/o Tip $64.34

This Lunch fills us up until our dinner PS which were for 7:30 PM.
We rate this a 10 out of 10 for Service, Atmosphere, Quality of food and Price! A WINNER!!!

Mama Melrose is one of our must do's for lunch. We used to go there right after the first Hunchback show. So sad that we have been able to the last couple of trips. It was such a great show. but I digress. We think the service there is fantastic. We do make PSs but for around 11:30, too! Do you remember what date you were there this trip? I think we were there 12/26.

WE just got back on the 10th and ate at Mama Melrose twice!!! LOVE the chicken flatbread pizza!! YUMMM!!!!

The 7 hour Backstage Magic tour makes its lunch stop at Mama Melrose's. The lunch is buffet style and there is always lots to eat. The chocolate mousse is also to die for!

I know this isn't the debate board but I hated Mama Melrose. I think this is the worst sit down on the property. The food is bland and favorless I and am the least picky eater on the planet. I would never go there again. Do you think there could be a reason why you never have to wait for a table?

Mikeyboy - That's OK everone is entiltled to his/her opinion! But seriously....the Fra Diablo is ANYTHING but bland. And the Portobello Mushroom with the cheese is another one bursting with flavor. We always get the same thing so what I reviewed is top notch!

I have to agree with the orginal poster...Mama Melrose is a great restaurant! We (5 adults/1 child) were there the first week in Dec and everyone in the party loved their meals. We had 3 different appetizers, 2 different pizzas, Linguine FraDiavlo and mushroom risotto...everything was so yummmy. The desserts were also fantastic! This will be a must do at each visit!

After living in Italy for 3 years, I was very pleased to discover Mama Melrose's. I love authentic Italian not "American Italian" and this place was top notch for me and my family.
The atmosphere reminded me in part of several family restaurants we frequented while living there and well, the food...ahhhh, excellente!

Nothing beats the wood oven flavor or smell except their food!

We really like Mama Melrose, too. It is always a cool spot to take a nice break, and we like the food a lot. We are used to the good Italian chains around here (Carrabba's, Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill), and I think MM is a little step up from those. very nice, and with very nice service every time we have been there. We go at off-peak times of the year, and have never had to have a PS yet, but we tend to dine early, so that probably helps.

Thumbs up to you and your family for raising Seeing Eye Puppies. The wonderful home you provide for them enables them to satisfactorily enter a handicapped person's life and make things easier for him/her.
