mama melrose or 50's prime time for lunch

Which of these would be better for lunch?

My personal preference is Mama Melrose. We love the menu, and we have a favorite CM who almost always is our waitress named Barbara. She makes our meal so special! We love catching up with her. I think for a lot of people it might boil down to the menus. Have you checked allears.net to compare the menus of the two restaurants? Mama's appeals more to us, plus we have found that the "antics" of the wait staff at 50's can be very hit or miss, so if you are thinking of going for the "show", you might be disappointed. That being said, we have been before and had lots of fun.

I suppose it comes down to preference. We haven't been to Mama Melrose, but we weren't too impressed with the food at 50's. That said, we don't eat meat and the most popular dishes at 50's are meat items. 50's can be harder to get a ressie, while I think MM is more open, so maybe that will influence your decision also. Next time, we'll be trying MM since 50's just wasn't very good.

We like both, a lot. We like the Fantasmic lunch package.

You can't go wrong with either one. Frankly, the food at MM is probably a little better, but the antics at 50's is my sons' favorite.

Gotta go with MM - food is excellent, great sangria and alot for the price. Also - the Fantasmic Package is a great deal - not having to wait in line to get a good seat at the show...

We would got back to MM for the fantasmic package lunch in a heartbeat we loved it! 50's PT was just OK the food was just meh and we had one of the servers who wasn't really into it and double dipped with her tip (we left cash and she added one to our KTTW herself ) so that may have changed out opinion. The only thing even a little negative about MM is the dessert sampler with the fantasmic pkg is not real great!

We have done both but I personally prefer MM over 50's PT. Just think the food selections is better at MM.
