Mama Melrose opinions

I scheduled an early dinner & Mama Melrose @ HS. I have seen mixed reviews. Any dishes that are good or should be avoided. How is the serice? Any input will be much appreciated.

We have done lunch here on most of our trips. Usually get the flatbreads pizzas and salads. Service has been between average to very good. No problems with the quality of the food we have gotten

The atmosphere is nice but we didn't have the best experience. We had a 4:10 dinner adr, seated right away but it took two hours to have dinner. Our longest adrs of the trip...average was 40mins everywhere else. We missed a Fp because of it. I ordered the steak and it was very heavy and greasy. I have an allergy to onions and sadly had a reaction when I only ate a couple bites of my food. When I asked for something else or a price reduction the waitress got an attitude and wouldn't give me anything. I hate battling people so we just paid and left. I don't know if it was an off night but I will never go there again. Sorry it wasn't a positive review but maybe others have had a better experience.

I also have reservations @ 4:10. I figured that would give me enough time for fireworks. But no im a little nervous. I'm sorry to hear about your service there. Unfortunately, I have heard about slow service there before. Thanks for sharing your input. I think I may change to a qsr instead just to play it safe.

We love it. It's become one of our must do each time.
They have some of the best flat breads we've ever eaten
I feel in love with their fish dish. It's very rare for me to order the same things each time I dine somewhere but in this case I do. It is that good.

We've done Mama Melrose for lunch twice and enjoyed it both times. The service and food was very good! We loved the flatbread.

Turned out to be our favorite meal on our last trip. They make a killer Moscow mule and the Saltimbocca dish is out of this world!

We had lunch there in 2014 and really enjoyed it. We're vegetarian so I can't speak to the quality of their meat dishes, but the flatbread, pasta, & soup we got were all good. We had the Fantasmic package which came with an appetizer, entree, and dessert sampler and it was a lot of food.

We had lunch at MM last trip and will do so again next trip! I had the chicken parm, DH has a steak, and the kids had pasta in a cream/Alfredo sauce. Everything was delicious!

We are big Mama Melrose fans. Even had a special cake delivered here for my DD10's bday in the spring. The cake was awesome looking with Stitch on it (however it was very dry, but that's not prepared by MM).
We've always enjoyed our meals and has excellent service.
Did the F! Dining package in 2014 loved the salmon dish and I'm not much of a fish eater! My DD13 enjoyed their steak, and their flatbreads are great.

We love Mama Melrose but when we went in November there were no flatbreads. They said the wood burning oven was broken. I hope that's been fixed. Has anyone been since late November and were the flatbreads available?

We LOVE MM!!! We eat here every time we go to HS! We have gotten the steak, chicken parm., salads, desserts, and kids spaghetti. Love it all!!!!! My favorite is the New York strip with Mac & Cheese, YUM!!!!

We trying Mama Melrose's for the first time in May with the Fantasmic package. I am looking forward to something new. I do remember reading that they may be going through a kitchen remodel this year and that some items may not be available. I believe it was the flatbreads that were going to be affected.

I know they were remodeling the kitchen/prep area at some point last year and wouldn't have a pizza oven during that time. Maybe you hit it during that time? We ended up skipping it on our Thanksgiving trip but plan to go back in a couple of weeks

Bumping this thread to ask for any recent reports on Mama Melrose as we are thinking about doing lunch there next month for the Fantasmic package. Namely, whether the flatbreads have been available?
