Mama Melrose: Good or not

I've been eager to eat at Mama Melrose, but lately, have seen some negative reviews about it. Has anyone eaten there recently? What are your thoughts?

Was just there a few weeks ago after a few new things were put on the menu. The pork osso buco was amazing and they also put homemade gnocchi on the menu. I think the bum rap for Mama's comes from the wait to get in!! After we were seated though, we had a great time!

We ate there 2 weeks ago. All four of us loved it. I don't know anything about long waits - we happened to get a noon reservation which is when they open, so we were seated right away.

Whole family agreed we'd eat there again. HTH.

We ate there for the first time in May and thought the food was really good and would definitely go back!

We've tried it 3 or 4 times over the years and it's just never been much of a standout to us. BUT as I always say to people....if you haven't tried somewhere...you should so you can make up your own mind...One man's trash is another's treasure!

We just ate there and I really liked it. I had the mushroom flatbread and it was good. My husband had the tuna, he said it was just ok. The chef was very nice (we have food allergies) and the atmosphere was nice. I'd definitely go back.

I havent eaten there recently but the most memorable thing about the restaurtant was the hidden mickey on the dalmation, not the food!!

We have been many times and think its good, like Olive Garden good.

We have eaten there twice and both times we have enjoyed ourselves. I like both the flatbread pizzas and the chicken parm. I know some people compare it to Olive Garden, which is fine by me since I like going to Olive Garden anyways . If you have never tried it before, then it is definitely worth it, at least once.
