Mama Melrose Fantasmic package or Sci Fi?

Does the fantasmic package really make much of a difference when going to fantasmic? We would rather eat at Sci Fi but don't want to risk not getting into fantasmic 7:00pm or 8:30pm shows. Is the line long or what is it like? We will be there on 1/3 or 1/4/2015.

For us it is. I have a 6 year old and there is no way he could stand in a long line especially without it moving or any type of real distraction. The one time we went without the package we were really far back and could barely see anything! We got out quick though since we were next to the exit! That time was at a slow time too. You might be ok if you plan on going to the second show!

I like the dining experience because they reserve an entire section for you in the middle of the arena and you don't have to rush.

The portions are great at Mama Melrose. It's worth the price!
