Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package late August

So, I made my ADR today for 180+3 for the Mama Melrose Fantasmic package. The latest time they had available was 4:50. I took it. I can technically live with it but was curious if this is normal. I doubt this package at this particular restaurant would fill up for 8/28 right now. IS there a reason there are no 6 or 6:30 reservations?

Is it a 7pm Fantasmic show? You wouldn't have enough time to make the show if you had a reservation at 6pm or 6:30pm.

5pm is the latest you can get the F! package, I believe. So you did good.

So 5pm is the latest regardless of Fantasmic time? If that's true, then I am now extremely happy with my 4:50 reservation.

I'm almost positive 5 is the lastest. It's done to help fill up the restaurants for lunch and the earliest dinner times that otherwise may not fill up.

I suppose that makes sense. It's easy enough to eat an early or light lunch so we're hungry by 5pm.

hmm. I have the F! package booked for a day when the show is at 9:00, and my dinner is at 5:45. I'm assuming it's about as late as possible, which means you might find something slightly later than 4:50. the alternative perspective is that an earlier dinner probably means spacer a churro or popcorn during F! though

the reason I stopped in here though is something else though: we did the F! package last August, and starting in the early afternoon we saw clouds rolling in. about 15 minutes before the show started there was an announcement that said "seek shelter now" (I think slightly gentler, but not by too much). I guess there were funnel clouds spotted in the area (which they didn't say,
of course. imagine a full theatre stampeding out), and a good deal of rain. I was soooo disappointed--F! is one of my fondest memories from childhood trips, and I was looking forward to it so much. we stopped by guest services on the way out of the park, and they said that while it's not official policy, if F! is cancelled because of weather (more likely in August/hurricane season), you can typically use your voucher for a show up to 5 days after. a few days later we went back, explained, and saw the show no problem. just something to keep in mind

Just in case anyone was worried, I just checked again and a 5:30 was available. I grabbed it! All in now right in the world (except for the MNSSHP fiasco...but that's for another thread).
