We just returned from WDW and did the Fantasmic dinner package at Mama Melroses, the food was really good, we got a pizza to share and a family style salad, an entree each and dessert (we had tiramisu).
Overall it was an enjoyable dining experience. It ended up costing with tax and drinks for the two of us around $70. I thought it was a little pricey and the seats for fantasmic were just okay... and we still ended up getting there 30-45 minutes early. I am not sure if I would do the package again, but I would definitly eat at Mama Melroses again. Hope that helps!

We did the package last July at MM. The food was very good. When we did the package it was a set price(around $29 I think) and you could chose from the regular menu.

We were going to do this on our last trip but was informed by a CM that the seating was on the side section which wasn't too good. So, we opted to skip the package, eat on our own and arrive early and got great center section seats.

We loved our meal at Mama Melrose. The bread, salad, flatbread pizza & our entrees of chicken parmesan were all really good. Had N.y. Cheesecake & Tiramisu for dessert, which were both delicious. We would never wait in line for Fantasmic, so the package is perfect for us. Would definitely eat at Mama's again!

While I am a big fan of MM, Im not thrilled about the dinner package. I much prefer how it used to be where the rule was each adult had to order an entree. Now where its a set price and 4 courses I feel its too much food for us. When we did it last summer we were disappointed in the salad they give(would have liked the Caesar if we had a choice, not the leafy grassy "lettuce") and we would have preferred to skip dessert and get an icecream later on. When we went back in December we chose to eat a regular dinner there, then go to Fantasmic. This worked well as we went to the second show of FAntasmic and had no trouble finding seats. We also picked up a delicious icecream a couple hours after dinner when we had more room. We dont usually eat dessert right after a big dinner.
With that said, we are doing the FDP again in July. With there only being 1 show of Fantasmic the night we are going, and us really liking MM anyway, we figure we might as well go for it.

As for choices, they give a very large salad to share, as mentioned above, its not regular lettuce, its like eating leaves, however the cheese and dressing were good in it. YOu then get a choice of any of their flatbreads to share, I believe its one per 4 people. Each person gets an entree, and then we were given a choice of either Tiramisu or Cheese Cake for dessert, again, 1 per person.

How does MM handle a solo diner who is doing the Fantasmic package? Would I get 1/4 of a flatbread or what?

Thanks for any info, Cindy:earseek:

I've been wondering the same thing.

Yes, and we would do it again. We loved the food (items described by previous posters), and we did not get to the "gate" until about 20 minutes before the show. We sat in the first row of the reserved section, and we thought the seats were just fine.

Though we do the Brown Derby Fantasmic package, I must agree with newmousecateer. The seating is great, IMO, especially since you don't have to wait in line. Most of the show is performed in front of each of the three sections, so you don't miss anything. All of the other action is easily viewable. We won't see the show any other way - the first year Fantasmic! opened, we were able to get priority viewing with dinner (not a package back then). When my fiance saw the hordes of people in line, he suggested that I won't be viewing the show from any other section except for the reserved one. ;) It's fine with me, though, because you don't miss a thing!
