Mama Melrose Change?

Has anyone heard anything else about the change of Mama's? I heard that they were going to go ahead with their original plans to make it a Muppet-themed restaurant with a possible character meal. Any news on this?

This is still just a rumor, but an appealing one. Disney has bought the rights to the Muppets and are talking about another attraction in that area. There could be a whole Muppets section.

We love the muppets. I think it would be a great idea. I wonder if it will still be a fantasmic package though. Maybe they'll bring back the prime time cafe fantasmic package instead. That would be awesome.

Gosh, I hope they don't do that. Don't get me wrong, I love character meals, but it is nice to have a non-character meal, too. This is one of our faves. I hope they don't change it!

I love the Muppets. Is Disney trying to lure more 30-somethings into the park?
If if weren't for MY fabulous collection of the Muppet Show on dvd, DS 6 wouldn't know what a Muppet is.

I really hope this isn't true! We love MM just the way it is. I do love the muppets and would love to see Beeker, but not if it means changing MM. But, I do agree with BriarRosie, anything but Pooh!!!

We would love to have a Muppet character meal, but please not at MM! How about at lunch/dinner at Hollywood & Vine? It would be great to see more Muppet attractions at the Studios.

I would be very disappointed if they did that I love MM right now and I really don't like the muppets... I avoid the movie and anything I can with them in it That would definitely keep me far away from MM!!!!

I just mentioned this to dh. He is less than enthused about my whole Disney obsession. He said, "That would be AWESOME" That was the most excitement he has mustered about disney ever. So, I would welcome it - might be the carrot to get him there after our upcoming trip....

Full size costumed Kermit and Miss Piggy are in the Stars & Motorcars parade at MGM and they're often out giving autographs too.

I'd love to see more Muppets THEMED things going on in the world but if they're going to do another character meal, let it be Pirates!

Full Size Sweetums is in the 3-D movie. This would be great to have this as a character breakfast.
