6/27 DINNER @ Mama Melrose (Fantasmic Dinner Package)
We were started off with a sald for everyone to share (sons 7,6,2 wife and I) which was very good. We were then able to order two flatbread pizzas for an appetizer (1 for every 3 people). We ordereda portabello and fried onion and a four cheese. They were both very good. For the main course I had chicken parm and veges, my wife had pasta and sausage and the kids had pene with butter and cheese. We were not restricted by menu choices. Everything was good. The portions were a very good size. For desert we were given the choice of ice cream or tiramisu. I had the tiramisuand it was very good. It was different (seemed like it had chocolate in it) from other ones that I have had, but very good. I would recommend this restaurant.
6/28 DINNER @ Cindy's Castle
My wife and I split a Caesar Salad which was good.
No appetizers for anyone.
For our main course the kids each had spagetti with butter and cheese. My wife had teh pork chops and I had a steak. I believe it was called the Duke. The waiter asked how eevrytyhing was and my wife said that the pork chops were a little fatty. He then brought out a free smoothie to try and make up for it.
It was my wife's birthday, so the server brought out a large cupcake type thing and had teh atble next to us sing happy birtday. He also presented her with a certificate that called her princess. She liked that. We all had a bite or two of her cake.
Overall I would say that it was just OK. The food was average, but I think you realize that you are paying for the castle. I believe the bill with tip was just under $100.
I would recommend going there once for the experience. Do not expect to much and you will be fine.
An added bonus was when we were leaving, Cinderella was in the lobby taking pictures. None of my sons wanted to go near her, so my wife and I took a picture with her.
