We will be arriving in Orlando this Fri and I am looking for different places to eat. We are looking forward to some old favorites, Margaritaville, Nascar Cafe, etc., but want something different. After a few days, steak, seafood, burgers get a little boring. We also have reservations for Tchoup choup. I've looked at a few older posts and notice that most like Mama Dellas for AUTHENTIC Italian food. We have tried Olive Garden and Macaroni Grill and no offense to anyone who likes these, they were just ok and we have never returned. How is the food at Mama Dellas really? Would you say it is better than the two restaurant I mentioned? Authentic? Living in NYC, we get great Italian food here and I guess are a little picky. Maybe we are just not eating in the right places. Would love to hear what you think of this restaurant and if anyone can let me know where I can find a menu.
Thanks!

I'm Italian and from NY! I vouch for this food! The atmosphere and authentic food makes this place a MUST for us every trip. Hope you enjoy it!! :)

Thanks JessicaR, I will trust your opinion on this :). It will be nice to have good Italian food on vacation as we miss it for those days we are away. As a matter of fact the first thing we do when arriving home is go to our favorite Italian restaurant or order in. I will tell my family we are going there this trip ;) I make all the eating arrangements based on what I read here. I am going to check out the menu.

I hate the Olive Garden YUCK! THat's the worst knock off imatation itlaian food they ever tried to copy! Mama Della's is NOTHING like that place. IT's really fresh food cooked to order and so wonderful. The whole place is just got it going on! Trust Jessica on this one and me too it's awesome and don't think twice about it. Come to think of it i don't believe i've ever heard one bad word about the place ever here on dis surely that will mean something to you. Have a great trip and i promise if you eat there once you will eat there again. Also for a quick lunch you might want to stop next door at sals' pizza YUMMY. You can order that togo too so if you need a late night fix and don't want to order a pizza from Flippers run over to SAL's at PBH. Don't for get after supper to get a gelato cone from the store on the piazza at PBH for your stroll back.

PartyofSix--I didn't like Olive Garden at all either but tried to put it nicely..lol.. We are definitely going to try Mama Dellas, and yes the recommendations here do mean a lot to me. Every year when we go to Orlando I'm always telling my family where we have to eat because you guys said so!!! My oldest son is always making fun of me saying what do your "groupies" think of this or that..:) and he means it in the best possible way. I have gotten so much great information here that I wouldn't have otherwise. Well, thanks for all the recommendations, you're making me hungry just thinking of all the goodies I'm going to be eating next week. I'm looking so forward to this trip, just not the 20+ hour drive from NY :(.
