With a 7:48 sunset time, when should we plan on showing up at Mallory Square? And along those lines, what time would things start to break up? We plan to head back to the ship a little after 8:00, so we can make it to Palo by 9:00. We will miss much? Thanks!

Hi mouseclick1
We're into the single digits so any help would be helpful. Thanks.

I watched the sunset at Mallory square in January and it was spectacular. When the sunsets there was still plenty to do as there were vendors there with all types of things to sell from jewelry to candles. Also lots of food vendors around with Conch fritters, key lime pie you name it. I guess it depend on you as to how long you hang around after the sunsets.

But if you watch the sunset from Mallory , don't you miss the show and/or dinner on the ship?

I know we will miss the show, but it's "Mouseketeer" and I don't mind missing it. I saw it the last time we cruised and really wasn't that impressed. We schdelued Palo for that night to buy us a little extra time.

you will love the sunset at Mallory square....we were in Key West last August and for the entire week we went down to watch the sunset.....such fun!
There are tons of vendors with crafts, food you name it...you can even get a massage!
We always arrived a little early - got a drink and wandered around before sitting of finding a great standing spot to see that sun sink below the water!

Have fun!

I would turn this piece of advice a little bit. Yes, go to Mallory Square - it is certainly an interesting bazaar! However, if you have an appointment back on the ship, we watched the sunset from the rail on top deck, the view of it from up there was incredible.

I loved watching the sunset in Key West off the boat. My ex DBF and I watched it from Deck 7, no one was there so it was so romantic and beautiful.

Watching all the people at Mallory Square line up to watch the sunset was pretty hilarious. I can't believe how many people they fit there.

I would go for Deck 7!!!
