I want to apologize first as I'm pretty sure this is a repeat question. I did do a search, but maybe I didn't use the right words because the threads that came up were all so old.

I am going over my plan for our June 2012 trip in preparation for the 180 day mark coming next month. We have 9 nights and regular DDP. After putting in all the places dd said she wanted to eat and the places I want that weren't on her list, I still have 2 TS credits left over.

So I have BBB in our plan and read how a lot of people combine BBB with CRT and thought it'd be a cool. I'll try to book them 2.5 hours apart to give us time to do the photoshoot in between.

My question is in regards to my son who will be just under 2.5 when we go. I have mostly buffets and family style for our other choices, but from what I can tell CRT is a place where you order your meal at dinner. What do I do about ds? I seem to remember reading something about a toddler getting a plate of noodles or something, but can't remember where I saw that. I can pay OOP to get him something but was wondering what others experience.

Also, I know princesses give attention to boys. On our last trip, he had an interaction with Ariel that even had the family at the next table cracking up and gave me one of my favorite pictures of him..a goofy smile with a lipstick print. That was at Akershus. At CRT, I heard the boys get a sword of some sort. I'm figuring it is only boys 3 and up that get it. Is that right? He won't likely notice. I was just wondering.

Thanks in advance

DD (21 months) was offered an appetizer plate (Fruit and Cheese), Noodles with butter and was given a kid dessert. I think it was ice cream with sprinkles? I'm pretty sure we had a choice for that. All complimentary.

Everyone at our table was given a magic wand, even the adults.

They gave my 11 month old son a sword and Ariel sat and played with him for a long time.

Our little girl was a little under 3 and they gave her noodles, I think my son who is older and on the meal plan was eyeing up the noodles - go figure. She loved it!!! My son who was 4 got a sword and loved it as well. They both had a good time, enjoy!

My son loved CRT we did breakfast and he got a plate of french toast sticks, a drink, and a sword for free plus the fruit, and danishes they bring for the family to share. It was free since he was under 3.

This is a wonderful breakfast- pricey but my kids always love CRT. Both my dd and both DS's

He will get a sword for sure. Heck, they gave me a sword and I'm a 40 year old! DD and I still play with that thing here at the house. Although boys aren't into princesses, it will still be pretty cool to him to be eating in the castle.

Yep, my 9 and 11 month old boys and my 31 year old husband all got swords, and my 5 year old daughter, my 55 year old mother, and my 29 year old self all got wands and we all got wishing stars, too!

Thy sword is actually better than the ones I had as a kid. I guess for the price of our meals, we all deserve a hunk of plastic, right?

We did breakfast so I can't comment on what they do for other meals but DS (2.5 yr) got a plate with french toast sticks. And the sword was the highlight of his trip!

Thank you all. I'm really looking forward to this now. Ds doesn't know what a princess is, but he does like to smile at ladies, always has and he's really friendly. I have a feeling things will be interesting when he gets older. Now at almost two he has this little shy look he does.

Here he is after his meeting with Ariel last year. Ariel asked my daughter if she could have ds for her collection. Dd smiled and said no, so Ariel kissed him and left. Even at 10 months he looks really proud of himself.

One of my favorite Disney memories is of my then 18 month old son studiously avoiding eye contact with the princesses throughout breakfast. He would watch them from afar but as soon as they got close to the table he would get busy looking anywhere but at them. He was so bashful around them. We have a picture of Cinderella bending down to kiss him on his cheek and he is actually blushing.

He's now 8 y.o. and has no problems around the ladies!

He will definately get a sword and if you really want to get a reaction from the princesses bring him a crown. Of course that's assuming he would wear it. I brought a cheap party store crown for my son and everyone in CRT gushed over him. The server, the hostess, the chef when he came to speak to us about allergies, they all welcomed the prince into their midst and his interaction with Cinderella (we weren't there when it was all Princess's) was absolutely priceless. Another idea if he would hate a crown is a "Future Prince Charming T-shirt". I know you can find them on Etsy or just make one yourself.

Your son is a real cutie. :) I know our daughter was given something to eat at CRT every time we went before she was on the meal plan. I think for breakfasts she just ate what we ate and for dinners I think something like mashed potatoes if I remember correctly. We were never charged for her.

Well, since we're sharing adorable toddler boy CRT photos...:cutie:

Here's my 11 month old playing peekaboo with Ariel.

Knitster, he's adorable.

Thanks all. I haven't settled on a shirt for him yet. The picture above was taken in November. He had on a white button down shirt and shorts. He absolutely hates having anything on his head so I probably wouldn't put a crown on him. I have to fight with him if it's really hot or really cold out. I have to go to Babies R Us and pay more to get a summer hat in his size with straps.

I did find a design on here that had Mickey Mouse in his Knight outfit and the words "Princess Security" on top. I'd also thought about a shirt I saw on etsy that had Princess Protection Agency on it. My daughter laughed and said, "Really? I'm the one who protects him." :rotfl:

I hadn't thought about a Prince Charming angle. That actually might be more appropriate for him.

adorable

CRT was actually not on my plan initially, but I am rethinking it. My then 26 month old would love a sword and hopefully think the castle is cool too.

Do you think they do the complimentary food even if you are not on the DDP??

We are considering luch at CRT as we will likely be paying OOP and lunch there was only a bit more than dinner at Park Fare (DD's other favorite dining option)
