Mako and Manta for a small, skinny kid?

My 9 yr old son is going to be tall enough on our April trip to ride Manta and Mako. He is about 53 3/4 right now and is a total daredevil. My issue is that he is extremely skinny so I am nervous about him safely fitting in the harnesses on these rides. He only weighs about 50 pounds. I've ridden on Manta before but haven't been there since Mako opened. I noticed that Mako doesn't have a seatbelt just the lap bar so I'm wondering if that will get tight enough for him.

Any thoughts? I have two older kids who always rode whatever but they were not as skinny as this one!

He will be fine as long as he meets the height requirement.

He will have so much fun. I took my niece and she enjoyed both coasters. They check the kids and make sure they are in tight.
