Making Time for a 1st time - October 2015/MNSSHP PTR COMPLETE 10/21/15

Hey I'm here to follow along!! Wow, you have a great big family!!! So awesome!! What an amazing honeymoon you have planned too!! I'm going to be there a couple weeks before you but doing a lot of the same stuff!! Really looking forward to the MNSSHP too!! I'm very jealous of your BOG ADR's!! Also Raglan Road I love too!!! Looking forward to following along!

Hey Kathy!!! Thanks for following along!!! My family is huge lol and I'm sure the younger 2 girls aren't done lol... I think we're going to have a great time in WDW and will need a vacay from the vacation haha :teeth: Funny thing about Raglan Road... Fiance decided to look at menus tonight and he was like I'm not eating there... :( So I had to find something he wanted to eat. He said after a week of eating foods that we wouldn't normallly eat, he wants a "regular" meal. I was like... regular??? we're at Disney LOL you can have regular at home. o_O Instead of arguing though I gave up and let him have his way... only this once HA! We changed to Planet Hollywood (:worried:) so that I can have a newish happy hubby.

I'm so stoked about both of our ADR's for BOG.... I never dreamt that we would get in for either L or D, and here we end up getting both. There is NO WAY I'd give up either of those!!!! Hubby was looking at the menus there too and I was like don't even get any ideas, you can eat with me or starve, but we are going to both of those meals. :ssst:

Oh nooooo! I thought they had burgers and some "normal" food at RR?? Too bad...I'm sorry. But I'm sure you will find some places that he will like. BOG has some great stuff and also, worst case, let him order off the kids menu lol

He will starve if he tries to change anything else LOL... He said the Braised Pork at BOG looks good, thanks to Elevationist and her Dining Report :worship: And I know there are burgers and such at the Plaza Restaurant. I'm sure he will be ok. He was kind of disappointed that for our last night I wanted to eat in a Pub that would be noisy. He wanted some down time to look back and take it all in he said, since the week will be so hectic. I can give him that much lol

I'm here, I'm here! princess:

Lesson learned to listen to your future wife :rolleyes1
It's so true. My best friend's favorite saying is "Happy wife, happy life!"

I LOVE THIS! Your wedding invitation is soooo cute! I also love that you're getting married on 8/8 after 8 years together!

Akherus - I want to see the Princesses but am not willing to give up 2 meal credits for the castle.
I'm with you there, sister! I can't see coughing up an extra credit just for the novelty of eating inside the castle myself. I'm doing Akershus for the first time myself on my next trip, and I'm so excited!

So, we both bought tickets and rearranged our touring schedule :chat: and got into MNSSHP!!! pixiedust:
You're going to love MNSSHP! It's so much fun!!!

Funny thing about Raglan Road... Fiance decided to look at menus tonight and he was like I'm not eating there... :( So I had to find something he wanted to eat.
Whaaaaaat?!! Raglan Road has a HUGE menu, how could he not find anything on it?! I'll be honest with you, I ate one time at PH, and the food was terrible. And I don't think I've ever read a single good review of it in the 17 years since. Did you perhaps look at T-Rex? They have burgers, chicken, ribs, all kinds of good ol' "normal food." Just a thought!

He will starve if he tries to change anything else LOL... He said the Braised Pork at BOG looks good, thanks to Elevationist and her Dining Report :worship:
YAY! I'm so glad I could help! And he won't be disappointed.. It's delicious!

He was kind of disappointed that for our last night I wanted to eat in a Pub that would be noisy. He wanted some down time to look back and take it all in he said, since the week will be so hectic. I can give him that much lol
Okay, I can understand that. Makes sense!

I think it was the atmosphere of RR that kinda put him off... he's been so good about going with the flow and letting me make decisions without him, I'LL give him PH.

Update - After some debate in my little household because I would prefer to NOT eat at planet hollywood for our last TS meal at Disney... I found a 8pm ressie at Narcoisse's. I know its a 2 credit, but we have enough with our plan to cover that. DFi was not thrilled about having to go back to the hotel and change into "dress" clothes". So I let the ressie slide by.... Today however, is another story. While looking to see if there was a BoG dinner open for a friend, I come across a 9:30pm ressie in Cindy's castle. I booked that baby so fast your head would spin LOL... Then I sent the DFi a text.... I got a dinner resv. in the castle for our last night... if you tell me no, i swear i'm not marrying you LOLLL His response was - "Well I guess we're eating dinner with Cinderella then, aren't we?" OMG I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!

We have lunch and dinner at BoG plus the castle... I'm going to have quite the food report when I get done. Somebody remind me to take photos before eating LOL

Ha! I think not going to Raglan Road has seriously been a good thing for us... LOL Since we got into CRT, we are cancelling our meal at Akherus. We don't need to meet the same Princesses twice :rolleyes1 LOL
Anywho, I started looking and found a late breakfast at 1900 Park Faire... we can meet the Mad Hatter! So excited. DFi sent me a text msg "rolling eyes" and I sent him... "better to meet them while eating than standing in a line in the parks!" He will get into Disney mode if it kills me!

I'm really excited for this trip to happen... I cannot wait to be surrounded by all the magic!

Don't let it get to you. Men are usually like this, right up until you get them there, and then they're 12-year-olds all over again and having the best time of their lives. You keep on keepin' on and planning your little heart out, honey.

Lol he is especially like this as his entire life was a bunch of downers til we met. He is waiting for the shoe to drop on this trip and say we aren't going. Lol but it's paid for, flights are done and meals reserved. All we need to do is fast passes, check in and go!!

Good morning on this last Saturday of May... it's my birthday weekend and my only plans are hitting the gym and dinner with my folks tomorrow. Welcome to middle age, your not a kid and your not dead  :bday:

Not much new going on here, just riding the wave until end of August. We have 147 days until we leave, 87 days until fast passes and online check in.
Trip is paid for so we are saving our spending money. Scooter payment is the week before we leave.

Illinois weather is all over the place right now. 80's all week, and this weekend - rain with highs of 67ish.:sad: can't even go to the beach on my birthday, earnings for shore flooding makes it a no go. Ah the life of a old lady ha!!!:rolleyes2

Happy Belated Birthday!

I can't get Cary too excited either...like you said, until me his life was a series of "lets just get through another day"...he is still waiting for the day I tell him we can't go for some reason...I try to discuss dining (which is my biggest hurdle right now!) and he is lost! LOL

LOL my fiance was like just book the food; and I'll find something to eat I'm sure. I tried to be conscious of that fact when I was booking however we are doing La Hacienda too and he doesn't eat mexican, we are eating at BoG for lunch and for dinner; plus the castle. He will be tolerable for me but I think he will be ok too once we get there.

Cary will be fine with food anywhere he just has no clue what to expect and still does not believe it's going to happen...I think the best "vacation" he has ever had was at The Wilderness Resort in Wisconsin Dells last year for Skyler's dance competition for a few days...it's the kids that I have that are picky, sort of! Like, we are doing La Hacienda and they do basic ground beef tacos...well, they don't serve those there! LOL But I know from the past that most places are very willing to alter dishes or serve them de-constructed so they can add what they want where they want. So I think we'll live...

Joining in!!! DFi and I will be on our honeymoon 10/25 t0 10/29 as well. May end up booking a room only for the 24th. Still deciding on that one, lol.

Congrats!!!! Which hotel are you booked at? We are at Pop Century in a Standard Pool room; hopefully connecting with Tracy's room. Silly me, booked flights for Saturday and then when free dining came out; had to scramble to change our reservation somewhat. We originally wanted to stay until Sunday 11/1 but couldn't get a late flight with a price in our ballpark. :(

Looks like you will have a great Honeymoon!
I know we will... already got my note taking pad together so I can try my hand at a trip report. LOL

143 days... :hourglass I can hardly believe we are so close and yet so far away. DFi and I are on a "no extra spending" budget. We have WAYYYY to many things to do any extra shopping. We already did baby gifts for the new baby, who is not here yet and momma is MISERABLE! I told her, get use to it, because it doesn't get better until they move out! HAHA :P

We have the very informal wedding to finish paying for... ugh. We should just skip it all and elope:love:

And then my scooter since I will be :crutches:before Disney. Oh and spending money. We have 9 TS Meals to tip for, and then all the other lil countless things.

PLUS DFi's birthday is 10/23 - the day before we leave. I've already told him we are celebrating by packing and eating an early dinner at home. I need to ship a box of stuff including gifts and my extra magic band (I Bought a link it later bracelet, just for this purpose) to Tracy who will then decorate our room while I distract him. :jester:
I want to do a cake... not a mini, maybe a single tier 6" cake... maybe at mama Melrose's as this is our first Dinner TS. trying to work all that out yet..... :cake:

Another change... will they ever end! LOLLLLL So we have a room only ressie for Sat. 10/24 and then our Free Dining pkg starts on Sunday. We had 5 days of park tickets, thinking with our plan that would be sufficient. HOWEVER, hoping this will work.... we added one more day making the total 6 days of tickets. We are hoping that we can get our park tickets on arrival day (one day ahead of the ressie they are tied to) so we can go to MK that night after checking in...

Do ya'll think it will work? Some say Yes, go to guest services and ask for "Early Ticket Pickup" and others say no it won't work. Never been so I don't have an answer, but we are going to try! :D
