making "the call" on tuesday morning!

if we already have a reservation, MUST i try to call to get the discount at 7 a.m. on tuesday. i mean, of course i will to save us $, but 7 a.m. is when we're all rushing to get the kiddos (and me) to school. would i lose out on the deal if i called at say, 9:30 a.m. when i'm done teaching and i have a break to make a disney-length phone call?

if i have to do it, i will...just wondering if i'd likely be losing out on the savings if i waited the 2.5 hours?

also, do i need my credit card, my reservation number, etc? how long does one of these calls typically take...do you wait a long time for a CM?

not sure if room and category comes into play, but we're doing a 10 night split stay: 5 nights WL courtyard view with 10 day park hopper plus pass, 5 nights GF sugarloaf club level garden view.

There is never a guarantee of getting the discount in your current room, regardless of when you call. Calling first thing in the morning you get on with a CM sooner and your chances increase. Id call first thing since youve got a CL on one of those.

You are looking at a crazy long hold no matter when you call...

They can look up your reservation via name and zip if you dont have your res handy and you dont need a credit card since it is the GP offer.

On Tuesday April 2nd, will I be able to book online to get the summer discount? Or can it only be done over the phone? Just wondering how fast they update the website as I would prefer to do it online than over the phone so I can play around with a couple of different options.

Yea. I would call early too. I don't know how long your break is (when I taught I never had more than 40 min to myself), but last time a deal came put if you didn't call in at 7am on the dot, the wait times were anywhere from 1 - 2.5 hours - it lasted for like 3 or 4 days!!

On the 2nd the summer offer should be bookable online. I also like the ability to look at these online so you can make your own comparisons.

ok, i'm going to get myself to school by 6:55 a.m. and make the call in peace. i'm just hoping that i'm off the phone by 7:30 a.m. when my students come in! yikes! the pressure!!!

I missed out this past winter on the Visa discount so I had to call the first day, first morning. Called and when I got thru 30 minutes later I was told that the system was down, too many people calling at the same time I guess. Went on to work then came straight home 6 hours later and I was able to get exactly what I wanted. So my advice try and call in the morning if you can, otherwise you will worry all day. Does this mean tomorrow night the offer will be all gone? I find that hard to believe. The Spring offer was available until the last day....I kept checking.

The offer will have a "book by" date, so you will be fine. You are correct that the CMs are available at 7 a.m. Eastern - 10 pm Eastern.

6am online and 7a EST for phones -BUT I think a lot of these offers haven't gone up on the website until the afternoon on their release day. I'd just bank on calling but definitely check at 6a EST online.
