Any suggestions for teens so they don't lose their key cards? I can see me carrying them around for them - but we don't plan on being together all the time.
Here is a link to a pic of the one that Wal-Mart sells for .97. The ones on board are about $6.00 or so but many have found that the clasp does not hold well and the lanyard with a slight tug can come off the neck.
I have a very strange feeling that my DS16 would NEVER think about wearing that around his neck. That is just so not a cool thing to do. Any other suggestions for teens?
My sons are 16 and 13, and unless they see all the other teens onboard wearing lanyards, they're not going to want to wear one, either. I was thinking of getting them nylon (as opposed to their regular leather wallets) wallets that velcro shut, so they can keep them in their pockets, and the nylon will be OK even if it gets wet. Which makes me now wonder, Is it ok for the KTTW cards to get wet?? Will they still work??
The KTTW cards are plastic, just like a credit card so it will not hurt it to get wet. My DS, 16, had his wallet with him at all times and would just use his card and put it right back in his wallet.
You might want to look for something similar to a lanyard but smaller and attachs to a belt or hook in a swimsuit. A thin wallet is a good idea as well. Also the shorts that have a velcro or snap pocket on the side would work.

DD14 says that last year the teens carried their KTTW in various ways - in lanyards, in velcro wallets, in pockets, etc.
There is something you can use to clip ID badge holders to clothing instead of wearing a lanyard - we have them at work, but I don't know what they are called, and cannot find an example at Office Depot.
