I have never taken out trip insurance for a cruise because...well...ignorance was bliss....Now I have seen and heard the horror stories of things that can happen and I want to take it out on our next cruise. I am going through an online group to save some money but am overwhelmed by all the lingo.
We are primarily interested in if we need to cancel if a family member were to pass away or if our flight can't get there due to weather. I see some plans you have to give 12 hours cushion time to get reimbursed and some need 24 hours (which we wouldn't have) I also see definition of family members are different between plans.
I just feel like the plans will end up being worthless and so can you give me a heads up on things to make sure we have included in our plan that should be. I don't want to save $50 and end up with a plan that covers NOTHING!
TIA
Emily
