Making sure Disney gift cards are activated?

Leaving tomorrow morning and I was double checking everything. We have $350in Disney gift cards for food that we bought last weekend. On that receipt it says activated within 3 hrs and on the gift card my daughter bought a month ago it says activation successful. Is this normal? Does it warrant a half hour drive to target to check before they close tonight??? Help!

I always check my Disney gift cards at disneygiftcard.com to double check. So far everything has been activated

Yes, this is normal. It can take a few hours for the activation to go through completely in some cases. I've never seen it take that long. I usually do as the PP mentioned and I check the balances shortly after I purchase GCs.

There is a disney gift card app where you can enter in the numbers and it will constantly show your balance!

Do Disney gift cards expire? I have several of them that I got for my birthday last month but I won't be going to Disney until November. I am assuming they will be okay until then?

It is illegal for gift cards to expire. They will be fine.
