Making room for the Christmas tree?

We put up the tree today. Every year I feel like we're totally reorganizing the house to put it up. We just got new furniture (it came yesterday!) in the living room, so the big tree went in the family room this year. We moved the big chair for the tree, displacing another chair, which then went in the den. The chair that was in that location in the den ended up in the garage.

Do other people have this problem or do I just have too much furniture?

We also have to move furniture in order to put up the tree. One of the chairs in the livingroom goes into the sun room along with the coffee table. We don't have alot of furniture, just a moderate sized living room. The chair we have to move is the one we bought for the dog to look out the window from. She has to go without until January! No more barking at the mailman and trash collectors!

YUP - the coffee table goes out into the garage starting on Thanksgiving ( so dining tables can stretch into the living room) & the couch gets moved from in front of the window to across the room, facing the window. We're all trying to remember where we put the two side chairs last year!

Just rearranged all my furniture today in order to accomodate the tree. We put it in the family room and our problem is more that there are very few outlets in the room and we have the old radiator to work around. I'm always looking for a different place to put the tree but it always ends up in the same corner.

Ok - I know this sounds totally crazy, but we have lived in 3 different places since we got married and every time we look for a new place to live, I am always thinking "where will we put the Christmas tree?"

Right now it goes in the living room window facing the street. We don't actually have to move any furniture, but it is hard to use the computer while the tree is up.

this year we had to move the rabbit cage to put the tree up

DH & I are full-time RV'ers. We have about a 3' fiber-optic tree that we bought at Target last year. We got some small, wooden ornaments for it. We put it on the driver's seat! It really is a great solution. We just have to make sure we're set for the season and don't have to move the camper.

Poohstyx

It's not just you we also got new furniture this year and there was NO room for a tree in the living room this year. Ever since we got the furniture I've been trying to figure out where the tree would go, there was no way I wasn't going to have one so there had to be SOMEWHERE it could fit. It turned out the only place was in to the dining room which actually worked out well because we could get a bigger tree and you can see it from the living room so we are glad it worked out the way it did.
