Making Ressie w/out Vacation Package

I'm not sure if FD will be offered for next Sept. but that's what I'm hoping.
I want to wait to book if the offer comes out but last year the FD offer for Sept. didn't come out until beginning of May. I would like to make Dining Ressies early (March 180 days), so I may be able to get what I want. Can I do that without a Disney Package? How? can I go online? call? Thanks

I went to Disney.com and played around with the Dining Ressies and now know I can make them without a Vacation package number.

Like you said, you can make them 180 days out even without a reservation. Just make sure you know it's 180 days out from each day without a reservation, so you'll have to make the ADRs one by one 180 days before each day of your trip, unless you're just making the hard to get ones.

Yes, I figured I would have to make on each day, I will try to get the harder ones early. I have never made ADRs without already having a Package and tying that into it.

I'm just hoping that Disney will offer some kind of discount for Sept. 2014. I'm used to the FD and so is everyone else, I think Disney is trying to wean us off of this offer, by not offering it earlier in the year (around the time to make 180 day ressies).

The last time I went to WDW was in 2010 and had been a few times before that for FD and it had been always offered around March, perfect timing for making ressies on time.

Anyone, regardless of where they are staying or not staying or whether they have a resort reservation, can make a restaurant reservation within 180 days.

Just to note that if you book CRT or a dinner show, you'll need to pay for it up front. If you intend to add a dining plan later and use that to pay, you'll have to either call WDW-DINE and ask them to refund your cost, or wait until you arrive at CRT or pick up your dinner show tickets and change your payment to dining credits then.

I made my ADRs last year at 180 days out without a resort reservation; on line at 6AM every morning for 6 days. I got every single ADR I wanted at perfect times (CRT, CM, Akerhus, CP, F!, 1900PF) except for BOG dinner. I did have to pay in full for CRT. we were lucky enough to get an FD PIN a month later but if not I would have cancelled some of the ADRs as they are the more costly character meals.
