Is it a good way to go this way through disneyworld.com,
or should I call the 800 #.
What are the pros and cons?
I read something about different numbers you call, you get different places, with different rules as far as cancelation policy and deposits.
Can anyone help?
How does disneyworld.com compare to the phones?

I would book at the Disney.com site only if you are going with one of the special packages that they occasionally come out with. If you are booking room and tickets separate - I find it's less expensive to either call CRO or Walt Disney Travel and do it that way, especially if you have a discount code to use. As PP said, Mousesavers is current on the discount codes.

Disneyworld.com is exactly the same as if you called WDTC.

You will get the same room discounts and package discounts no matter how you do it. Online you have to make sure you click on special offers or the discount will not come up. On the phone you have to verbally relate a code or you will not get the discount. In my experience the discounts have been exactly the same but I have read some posts here that people are getting better deals on the phone. I think these are rare instances or even happy mistakes on the part of the CM that answered the phone.

There is a special page for annual pass holders and Fl residents online but since I dont have one and am not a resident, I dont know if this page gives you those discounts or not. There are codes for them that you can use over the phone. Mousesavers.com always is VERY up to date on these codes.

The only differences between WDTC and CRO is CRO is not online and the cancellations policies are different. They are somewhat extensive and confusing so read Marys explaination and figure out whats best for you.

A word of warning: When you book through WDTC online or on the phone, travel insurance will automatically be tacked on so make sure you opt out, if you dont want it, before you end the transaction, as you cannot cancel it.

Hope this isnt too confusing for you. Have fun researching and planning!! :sunny:
