making reservations for a trip that is less then 45 days away

My cousin and I are booking a trip for October. I am going to call and make the reservations because every time I tell my cousin about the deal Disney is running right now she calls and gets quoted a much higher price then I did. My question is if I call and put down half the money for the trip can I then have her call back with the reservation number and pay for her half? Or because it's less then 45 days away will they expect me to pay all of it right there?

It probably will take only a matter of hours for her to call back. Is this something that they allow you to do?

If you make a ressie 45 days or less before your trip you have to pay in full.

If you're making a room-only reservation, you will only have to pay a one-night deposit. The rest will be charged at your visit.

If you want to book a package, all of it would be due at 45 days out, and all at once if it's less than that before your arrival date.

I would make it a room-only reservation unless you want the dining plan.

If you go through a travel agent they can get a 24 hour hold. That way you could both pay your half.

Thanks everyone for the advice! We had originally planned a shorter trip so a room only reservation had been enough, we're now going to go for longer and add the meal plan. I had to call my cousin and finally found out why she wouldn't give me her cc information. She's going to now that she knows the situation.
