Making/Requesting Reservations online

Do a lot of people do this or is it in the end faster and easier to call? I am new to this since we just bought in and trying to understand this system. :confused3

Any advice for a newbie is appreciated!! :)
 
I wouldn't chance the online reservations options because there really is no method to when MS actually checks and books the requests. Calling offers instant gratification. :thumbsup2
 
There really isn't a way to make online reservations right now. If you use the option on the members' website, What you are really doing, is sending MS an email.

That's why it's better to call.

Online reservations is a promised enhancement, but most of us believe it will be some time before it is available.

I rented dvC points and have a confirmation number. However, when I plugged that number to look up the res on the disney website, it said it couldn't be located. should i be worried or is this normal?

normal- you can check your reservation on the member website instead.

the regular website is not functioning well right now, you can't pull up old dining reservations (meaning, prior to the new system) either, but the reservations still exist.

Are you at the right site? There's more than one and the CRO site won't work. Make sure you're trying here:

Online Check-in

You can use this more than 10 days prior to just look up your reservation and then at the 10-day mark to check-in online ahead of arrival.

DVC has their own system as far as booking. The confirmations aren't coming up for me in the normal Disney website for my points either, so I went to my DVC page and it was there. maybe call Member Services? I am not sure the procedures of renting since I have never rented points.
