Making purchase / need advice

We are first time buyers purchasing 135 points directly. Right now we are being sent a contract for 100 points and one for 35.

Is it possible to request the 100 point contract be made into two 50 point contracts? Is that worth doing for potential resale down the road or is it not really that big of a deal?

I asked whn we bought in Jan and they said no. You should call your guide and ask because sometimes answers vary after all what do youhave to lose!

I have heard that some new buyers were able to do this and others told no.

I think they are more flexible in allowing this with AKV or SSR than they are with BLT and VGC.

But, I would give your guide a call and tell him/her that this is what you want.

When I brought 200 pts at BLT last year and asked for 2-100 pt contracts I was originally told no. When I made it apparent that this was a deal breaker magically (no pun intended) they were willing to do it.

Sometimes a good Guide or Broker can make all of the difference in the world.

It is always better to make these types of requests before the paperwork is drawn up. No one likes to spend time re-doing paperwork.

The smaller contracts tend to sell more quickly and command a higher price per point. If you can get Dis to do it, I would purchase 3 contracts: 50-50-35.
