Making PS's for Vero... aka 'how I spent my morning'

I just thought, if there was anyone else out there that feels the need to make PS's at Vero I could give the low down.

First Member services does NOT take PS for Vero... and, in my case, the can give you the incorrect VB phone number to call.

While I was looking for the Vero number on the nonmembers dvc website, I came to the page where the Charater meal is mentioned, and noticed a phone number at the bottom of the page, with the title... For more information, contact your Travel Professional or call such in such a number... Well the folks on the other end of that number CANT book PS's for Vero either....


But they had the correct phone number for Vero.

I called and talked to a wonderful gal, who informed me that they only take PS's 30 days out.

Soooooooo I get to call back in a week or so to book it.



Yeah yeah... ya dont need a PS... but better to have one and not need it, than to need it and not have one.

Did you call 772-234-2000 and ask for priority seating?

You probably are right when you say you don't need a PS for Vero but if you are going at a busy time then it couldn't hurt.

We are going to do the character breakfast again in May, and the Sunday Brunch and the Seafood Buffet and...well, you get the point.

Isn't the charcter brekfast on Wednesdays, too durng the summer? Anyoen know what months it is usually going on thsi day, too?

So a PS is helpul even for other dinners during the summer there?

Yes, they add the breakfast on Wednesdays during busy times.

We have never made a PS before arriving at the resort but I don't think there is anything wrong with doing so.

Actually, I did make one PS for brunch before we left WDW-a few days before arriving at VB. It was for 2:00 and we didn't want to miss it. We were the only ones in Sonja's and it was wonderful!

If we were going at Easter, a holiday weekend or any other busy time then I would probably make a PS ahead of time. You can always change it later.

I wish we were at VB right now. I was just thinking about sitting in the Green Cabin Room playing checkers with my DS and DD.

In our case we are leaving on Valentines day, and want to make sure we get an early enough seating, in order to make our flight. I figured Valentine day could bring out some people.... or maybe not...

Don't forget,

Every day in Shutter's and Sonya's they have a special dessert for children. It changes daily. My kids just love this. Some days are better than others. The worms in dirt is the best. I think they have a different pastry chef now and he/she is not as good as the one they had before.
