Who: Me, Dh, 3 kids (4, 10, 13)

Style: definitely commando. Dh is always watching the money (though he mellows at Disney). The kids like the character meals but don't want to spend a lot of their park time in a restaurant

Where: We're spending the first 7 days at a relative's time share and then 4 nights at the Contemporary

Sun-Disney Studios- lunch at 50's Prime Time/dinner counter service

Mon-MK-all counter service

Tues-No parks-'Ohana for dinner then Wishes cruise

Wed-AK-all counter service

Thurs-Epcot-snack around the World Showcase

Fri-No Parks

Sat-No Park-check-in Contemporary-Chef Mickey's

Sun-MK (4 yo birthday) - late breakfast at Crystal Palace

Mon-AK (EE) then Epcot - Ice Cream Social

Tues-???? last day and my birthday

What would you change?

Thanks!

Beth

Here are a couple of suggestions....

MK counter service - Pinnochio's Village Haus. I haven't tried this personally, but from reading reviews it is a MUST on my next visit.

Ohana's - Great choice! This was probably my favorite meal on my last trip!

AK counter service - FlameTree BBQ. We ordered several things and sampled amongst our group on our last trip. We really liked this place!

Just a few to get you started. Have a great trip!

I like all of your PS choices....we really like Pecos Bills & Columbia Harbour House for counter service at MK. And both Tusker House and Flame Tree at AK are very good as well.

We loved 'Ohana as well- good choice!

Can I ask what you have - 6 or 7 day hopper plus passes? What month are you going? I ask because if you have plus passes, a few of your no park days could be water park days. My kids had a blast at both water parks but loved the wave pool best at TL. Just something to consider if it's not too cold.

What are you considering for your birthday? In the Cont the Calif Grill gets rave reviews and the view is awesome. Personally, I would recommend going to Le Cellier in Epcot. Of course, I recommend that to everyone as it is my very fave restaurant!

Thanks for the counter service suggestions. I will write those down. I think we are going to be flexible with the counter service meals and see what we are in the mood for at the time. We usually try to hold off and have lunch a little later than everyone else so that it isn't quite as mobbed.

disney4us2002--we are planning to go to and BB on those "no park" days. We have the 7 day park hopper plus tickets. We went to TL in 1998 and BB in 2002, and the kids have asked to go to both this time. We're going in May, so it should be warm enough. I hope that the weather cooperates.

We have never been to 'Ohana's before, but after reading about it on the boards, I can't wait to try it. My parents will be with us for that part of the week, so we are taking them, too. I booked a Wishes cruise for afterwards that I am keeping a surprise as long as I can. That will be a joint birthday celebration for ds and me with my parents since they will be gone for the real days.

As for my birthday, I just can't decide. I wish park hours would come out. I am thinking of making it a completely crazy day. We'll start with the Studios, since it's an EE day. Then head to Epcot for a lunch (Le Cellier is one of my choices). Then finish up at the MK. Originally I wanted to have birthday lunch at the castle, but I'm not so sure after looking at the menu. That's still a possibility. Of course, I don't want to lose too much time, since it's our last day. Maybe I'll make reservations for the California Grill for a later dinner.

Thanks again!

Beth

Try Cosmis Ray's in MK. We had a great meal there. There is a family meal deal with the chicken that may work for you. The entertainment of Ray singing is priceless! We ate there last Tuesday night around 5:30 and it was not crowded at all! I guess since it is a little out of the way. They have a nice fixin' bar too.
Only drawback is the way it is set up, you have 3 areas that serve different foods in each line. But if you know it ahead of time, you can work thru that. Check out the menu before you go.
