Let me ask a question that probably should be obvious to me, but is not...WHY would you want to pay off one credit card with another credit card? Isn't that defeating the purpose of paying off the credit card? You pay off one debt making another debt bigger. Nothing really got paid off just a balance transfer to another card.
Well, if I could pay off my Target Visa with another cc, I would so that I could earn points on my other cc
And then I'd turn around and pay that card off. We carry no balances on any of our cc's ever but I certainly try to maximize the benefits that come with each card. Too bad Target won't let us do that.
when I called and asked why, they said that the system took a long time when such a large payment is made and suggested that I make several smaller payments next time.
