I am hoping someone can help explain to me about paying off room only reservations before your vacation. I have two room only reservations booked for October for a split stay. I paid a deposit on each at time of booking. I know that I do not have to pay the rest off until I check in but I would like to pay them off ahead of time.

One reservation was booked online and one was booked on the phone. How can I make full or partial payments on the reservations? Does the online one have to made online and the phone one on the phone? I also think I remember reading that if booked online, I can't make a partial payment just a full payment and that making a partial payment would cause the money to be refunded to my card? Is this still accurate? What about on the phone? I am so confused.

Thanks

I could be wrong, but I think that you can only make payments online if it is a package. You should be able to call and say "make a payment" when asked what you are calling about. Should only take a couple of minutes to do by phone, and I don't think you even need to talk to anyone live.

Room only reservations can only be made at check-in or by calling CRO. They cannot be made online - regardless of how it was booked (phone or online).

OK, so I need to call the make the payments on either reservation, which I am fine with. Can I make a partial payment when calling or must it be the full payment? I thought someone had an issue where if you make only a partial payment it seems like they accept it but then they cancel it and refund it.

The only issue I have heard of is if you pay with a gift card and then cancel your trip then you have to still have the gift card to receive your refund. They refund payments to the form of payment you use. You should have no trouble making a partial payment, but if you are using gift cards, I would wait until you are 100% sure you are going (or actually are physically there) before paying.

You can make partial payments. I've paid $20.00 to $500.00 on my reservations every time I call as this is my "layaway Disney hotel" plan. They will give you a confirmation number with the payment. You can then see the payments online when you access your reservation through the Disney site.

You can make partial payments. I booked in May for our September trip, and what I've been doing is calling each pay day to make a $100 payment. I should have it paid off about 3 weeks before our trip.

:)

I just used 2 gift cards to pay off my balance today. Before i had used my debit card for payment.
