Has anyone seen it yet? i'd be curoius to hear about the new changes.

The actual Believe show opens in May. The Making of Believe is being shown now. I haven't seen it but hope to see the finished show when I'm there at the beginning of May. I'm not sure of the actual date when the finished show is scheduled to start.

I have seen the Believe show here in San Antonio. I was not very impressed. I am sure they are still tweaking it but it didn't do anything for me or my daughters. I am going to try and go on Fri(not open all week yet here). I will see if they have improved.

Not unless they can see into the Future...it opens in May :confused3

I know that the actual show called Believe will debute in mid-May (i've been calling Sea World since I'm trying to figure out what date that I'm going to Sea World in May).....the "Making of Believe" is showing now until the debute & I just wanted to hear a little about it before we try to see it in May.....wondering if it's worth working our schedule around?

We are taking a trip out to SW within the next week1/2 or so & plan on seeing the "Making of Believe" show. If no one has reported back to you about it by then....I'll be sure to post about what we thought!

Still not understanding what you mean by the making of Believe Show being done right now. Was there recently(4/1) and basically there isn't much of a show showing. They mostly were just doing the swim where they ride on Shamu and splash the crowd.

The big screens are down and they have a whale's tale as the main design but still looks like there must be a lot of work to be done.

On SW's web site - Under show schedules: Shamu Statium (prior said): "Shamu Adventure" - It looks like it changed to :"Making of Believe" on April 8th. HTH.

Yes, that's when the change took place, April 8.....since April 8, they have been doing a show called "Making of Believe" instead of "Shamu Adventure", which Rabflmom likely saw on April 1st. I'll look forward to your reviews, WeLuvDisney05 & pixiepower1971.

We went yesterday & "The Making of Believe" was showing. It is basically a rehearsal & shows a little of the training that is taking place. They were on their 8th rehearsal & it has not come along very far yet. There was a narrator that explained what would be happening after the May 8th opening date & they showed a bit of some movie clips that will be played during the show...The screens are not quite working yet so lots of images were split/upside down. Then of course Shamu came along & did the rounds splashing everyone....It is very incomplete so far, so if you want to see the whale much I would recommend going after the actual opening date!

We saw the Making of Believe last week as well. My great nephew was visiting this week and wanted to see Shamu, and the few tricks and splashing that he was able to see were enough for him, but it is definitely not a full show. They also did not have the "pre show" swim time that I enjoyed in the past where Shamu, the baby and another whale froliced around!

I was glad to see that they are putting the big screens back up, as we were there to see the "old" Shamu show in March, and I missed being able to see what was going on under water. There was one area of one of the screens that was not working properly.

so May 8th is the opening date? Good news. Thanks for the reviews thus far of Making....I hope that they run on schedule w/ the opening date.

We just came home from a VERY HOT day at Sea World San Antonio! We saw Believe again today. It was much much better then a month ago. There is a lot going on and some great animal behavior. They also had the preshow swim. Cameras from below the water and above the water were working. I was very impressed. I still love the old show but this one does have quite a few wow moments and of course a good soaking.

Hi there - just visiting from the UK forums. Arrived back home from Orlando this morning. We visited SeaWorld on Monday (17th April) and saw the show. Basically they ran through the whole of the the 'Believe' show. There were a couple of (minor) technical difficulties - but I think we saw more or less what the show will look like. Our opinions? Sorry - but we weren't too impressed. We found it overly-sentimental (maybe that's because we are British) and was a little too much along the lines of a 'Free Willy' scenario. We much preferred the old Shamu shows. Incidentally, there was no 'Shamu Rocks' show at 9:00 pm - so we think that may also have been discontinued.

In our humble opinions, they should leave the sentimental story-telling ideas to Disney - who do it far far better - and just let us see a straightforward Shamu show. The killer whales are the stars, after all.

I just saw on the seaworld website on the show schedule that Believe is not premiering yet on 8 may. They still have the Making off Believe then. I heard rumours about may 11 but I doubt that I heard Believe is premiere in late May.
I mailed SeaWorld so I let you know. I,m going 8 may until 18 may to Orlando and was hoping to see it too.

saw on Seaworld website on show schedule that Believe is scheduled 11 may.
Looks like I,m gonna see it anyway!!!

I agree with Juliebro on the new Believe show. It is way too sentimental.

We saw the rehearsal show on Monday April 24(17th day of rehearsal). It was pretty boring. Shamu did splash the audience but other wise we were pretty disappointed since it was our first trip to Seaworld and we did wait around til 3pm to see the show.

I just wanted to see the whales do tricks. The narrator did say that the creator of the show was a creator of the opening ceremonies of I think of the Goodwill Games. So just imagine the opening of the Olympics when the put on a big show with dramatic music and the use of the big screens to tell a story.

I would skip seeing the show until its first opening in May.

We saw the show twice in the past 7 days. Once last Saturday and once yesterday. We took advantage of the promotion to turn a single day ticket into one that was good for 6 consecutive days.

Overall I thought the show was great, a bit hokey in parts, but entertaining overall and thats what matters. I think SeaWorld bit off more than they can chew with the video screens though. Some of the same problems occured in the 2nd show as the first one and some new ones ocurred as well. The moving screens are cool but I think SeaWorld is going to reget going with such new, unprooven technology in their headliner show. It's going to be bug laden for a long time.

I thought the music was great and was suprised that it wasn't available on CD in the gift shops yet. Anyone know where it can found? :rolleyes1

I didn't care for the dolphin show at all. It was a bad version of Cirque du Soleil that just drug on. No nearly enough dolphins and too much bad dancing and bungee cording in brightly colored spandex..
