Making myself accountable....

I think I have started a mini-WISH group here at work...atleast I hope it is beginning to form. So far there are 3 individuals..The first one I weigh with on Mondays and we walk 7 flights of stairs every morning, she is scheduled to see a nutritionist and will be on a plan similar to mine. The second one is just starting. I weigh with her on Fridays and we are going to exchange journals, give feedback to each other. I walk stairs with her in the afternoon. She is also going to a nutritionist shortly for her diabetes. I just joined a third person, I will begin walking with her the 2 days I don't go to the gym during lunch....This should keep me accountable and on the right path. I have found for me accountability is a big key!!!!!

How great! Sounds like you are really helping your coworkers and making yourself accountable at the same time. Good for you!
 
That accountability part is the hardest for sure! But, now that I have committed here- hopefully that will help. I fully expect a apt on the back when needed and a stirring "Have you lost your mind girl!!!" if I'm slipping :eek:
You go girl- get those people at work to work with you!
 
I think accountability is pretty important to most people. I have a few people I use for support IRL (including DH) but I like using the WISH check-in thread for my accountability. It forces me to once a week weigh-in and examine why I either did or did not lose that week. Plus you guys are pretty non-judgmental ;) and that helps.

I am so happy for you that you reached your goal and SO PROUD of you for holding yourself accountable. You are such a great role model and inspiration for us!!! You are doing exactly what I hope to do when I reach my goal. :) This is something we have to keep on top of all the time.

I am happy for you that you have these friends to walk with. I am sure they are inspired by you and that they are very appreciative of your friendship and willingness to workout with them and support them during their weight loss. Hopefully DH will come around in time. I know my DH would love to lose some weight but it just isn't going to happen right now. Too many temptations for him in our house. Once my parents buy a house and move out he is going on WW. ha ha ha ha ha! He doesn't know it yet! ;)
 
believe, that's awesome that you are inspiring others and building your own support system at the same time. Dr. Phil said something that hit me one time....."You can NOT be overweight, if you don't have a lifestyle to support being overweight" You're building your lifestyle to support a healthier you and I think that's fantastic!

We are doing a similar thing here at work!! There are three of us and we are actually having little contest weekly and monthly!! The Monlthy is we each pitch in 10 dollars and we have a chart that we get points for different catagories and whoever scores the most gets the $30 at the end of the month!! As well as little packs of bath stuff ,cards, pens and coffees as weekly prizes!! My main accountability is here on WISH!! Work is a bonus!!! BUt It is you guys that I turn to for my main support!!!
 
I really have to be accountable on my own :( Between my sched at work and then driving everyone to kingdom come, and home, I really can't set a certain time aside during the day. Unless someone wants to do my crunches and WATP tape with me at 6:30 am EST. It would be nice to have someone to walk with. I am like Jiminy, you guys make me accountable :)
