Exactly! All of the details from where we are staying to what parks what days and ADRs are all a secret so she will still be surprised by those!

She's not a message boards type of person, mainly stays on FB and pintrest, so there is no risk that she will happen upon this thread.

Yea it is a bit easier on both of us now as she can easily get excited about the trip and I don't have to hide any major details any more. I am very much looking forward to the Wild Africa Trek as it sounds like such an awesome experience and she loves the animals so much that she's going to enjoy being up close and personal with them like that. Not to mention, we use the slogan "Adventure is out there!" all the time. What is a better adventure than this?

I have to say, though, I think you are right about the positives. I think my kids would have enjoyed knowing (for certain) about our destination sooner. And, now you can enjoy the anticipation with Hannah! Can't wait to hear more!!!

GUESS WHO HAS AN 8:00pm ADR FOR 'OHANA FOR FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 13th NOW!!?!?!?!

I've been hanging around the Facebook September Disney planning ground and a lady on there got in touch with me and said she had an extra ADR that night depending on whether her parents ate with her or not. Long story short, this afternoon she cancelled her ADR for 5 and I swooped in and grabbed it! Sure it's an ADR for 5 people but at this point that doesn't matter because I'm in the door!

In a week or so I'll call into the restaurant and let them know that the other three people who are on the reservation are going to have to back out so that it will be down to just us two. Everything is now back to how I planned it!

I'M SO FREAKING EXCITED!

Yup! Just about exactly 32 days from the moment we leave now!

I still can't believe it worked out. I had myself convinced that something would happen with the system to not allow me to get it and/or someone else would have gotten it or something.

Does she know this is a proposal trip? Does she follow you on facebook? I'm getting excited/nervous for you, I don't want her to see the fb group.
Also with the trek being a gift from your parents you can say your dad felt bad about spilling the beans so they wanted to do something special for you.

Thanks for taking the time to read the whole thing! That must have taken some dedication! She has a pretty good feeling that this is a proposal trip. We've had many talks about getting engaged/married over the last year so when I told her about the trip that was pretty much her first thought.

As far as the idea to have my parents do it as an "I'm sorry" that's a great idea! In fact I just brought it up to them and my mom said, "I was already planning on doing it that way so it'd be more sneaky". I think we will have her just a little bit fooled at least.

As far as the actual plans for when we get there, she knows NOTHING. As of right now all she knows is that we have 5 days down there and the plan is to spend as much time as possible in the parks. She doesn't even know what our dining reservations or what parks we are going to be in on which days.

She's just happy to be going back to Disney. She somewhat wants to know details but she isn't begging me for hints or anything like that.

Good Morning everyone!

26 days!

I just called and talked to the wonderful people at Disney Dinning and changed my beautiful, beautiful 'Ohana reservation from 5 to 2. They had no problems with it and made it really easy on me. The days are definitely going by a little quicker now, but still not as quick as I would like as I'm sure you can imagine.

This is an accurate description of how Hannah and I feel:
