Oh my goodness, Nicole, I feel so bad. I've heard tendonitis is soooooooo painful! I agree with Sharky, rent one of those ECV thingies. I did it one day of my vacation, and it was a lifesaver that day. Granted, they are terribly expensive - $40, but you get $5 of it back when you return the key. I don't know how much a wheelchair would be, but you might want to look into that, too.

Or, I could always mail you some of my methadone.... But I don't think you wanna spend your whole vacation in your bed. I really shouldn't say stuff like that, I'm gonna give people the wrong idea...

Nicole, I'm so sorry the cast didn't work. Look on the bright side! Now everytime you say anything silly, or dingy you can blame the pills! (Can I borrow some? ) wow, you and Tat are having some issues! I started Tat's report, but it's gonna take me awhile...

My DH also said it's a gangster. He remembers that he had a "tommy" gun. (Is that what it's called?) He can't remember what he wore yesterday, but can remember what kind of gun the character had in GMR when we rode it 3 years ago!!! We've rode it several times in our lives, and I remember both! So, John if you made it up, I'm right there w/ ya!

We've always had the gangster too. I think they can run both rooms (the western town and the city ally one) but I've only ever seen the gangster one. Last month - gangster!

I'm with the others when I say rent a chair or an ecv. Don't let it ruin your holiday!

What kind of pills did they give you? I hate that when the pills they give you are supposed to make you feel better, but they end up making you feel crappy. They don't seem like they've made you dumb, though. You're still a smart cookie!

Aw, thanks Tat! Seems like we've had this conversation before but the other way around! I'm a little better tonight. I'm not taking it again until I talk with the doctor about my reaction to it. I promised my mom that I would ~ she was worried because I told her it made my face numb. Nice, huh?

Sorry for the reaction. It stinks that you have to figure out what's worse, ankle pain or the floopies with numbness! I had a creepy reaction to migraine meds. Every inch of my body hurt so bad. I couldn't even take a shower because the water felt like needles! It was 9:00 at night so I called the pharmacy and they told me not to take any more! Oh, ok thanks for the advice cause I was about to pop 4 more!

I hope you get better soon! You've got stuff to do!

Yes, I am anxious to talk to the doctor to see if it was normal. She said if I didn't like the side effects I could take it just at night and that way I'd sleep through them. I don't know... I'm going to wait and see what she says tomorrow. Friday she did tell me there is a surgery she can do but she is very reluctant to do it because it has a very long recovery period... like up to a year. Super... but we aren't even going to go there yet. Just gotta get me through my trip!!! AND YES!!! I have soooo much to do!!!

I just thought of something funny! I'm numb and dumber!

No, it isn't a pain med. She did give me prescription Aleve, but I don't want to take it unless I really need to because that stuff can tear your stomach apart! The ankle seems unphased by the nerve meds so far... but I only took two. I think it's supposed to take awhile!

I'm a pretty darn good list maker myself! It's checking stuff off the list where I run into trouble!

Hey! Anyone know where I can pick up some cheap ponchos? (That's on my list! )

Hi Amy! They are some scary meds! It's funny because it's a controlled substance... one that you could supposedly become dependent on. Now I know why I don't do drugs! Why anyone would purposely want to feel like that all the time is way beyond me!

Love your MGM itinerary. I didn't think we would be able to spend a full day there either but we weren't able to finish everything the day we went. And, we did stay for Fantasmic and it was incredible - definately a must see!

UPDATE HERE!

Sun., Nov. 25 ~ MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!


I love, love, love the Magic Kingdom! The first time I laid eyes on the castle we were driving toward the Contemporary to check in after a long day of stressful air travel, luggage and rental car shenanigans. When I saw it I cried. Tom thought I had finally lost my mind! But it was a very emotional experience for me. We didn’t get trips to Disney World as kids. Tom and I had gone to Disneyland in college but this was on a whole different level! And we were sharing it with our children. To me, going to Disney World is the quintessential American childhood experience and to provide our kids with that… well, it just chokes me up. And we get to do it AGAIN!!!

Now for the plans! We will chow some breakfast at the condo and get our tails over to the MK as early as we can!!! We expect it to be busy. We’re hoping not TOO busy though! I imagine a lot of folks who were there for Thanksgiving will be sadly packing up and leaving today. (Buh-bye! Don't let the door hit ya in the... ) But I also imagine there will still be a lot of folks that have late flights or drives that aren’t too long, to linger for one last visit to the MK. Also, I’ve heard they tape the Christmas parade this weekend. Maybe we will see some celebrities!!! In my wildest daydream about that I imagine Abby getting to see Hannah Montana or the HSM kids. Wouldn’t that just be the most magical thing??? Or sorry… back to reality! Which isn’t all that bad either considering where we will be on this day!!!

The great thing about spending today in the MK is that we know we will be back there for MVMCP in a couple days and that if we miss some things we get a second shot at them… so no stressing out over all gone fast passes or missed rides!

I’m sure there are many other things and this list could go on and on and on! But those are the biggies for us. I have asked the kids what they absolutely must do and the things I listed MUST are always mentioned and the things I listed MAY are sometimes mentioned… everything else will be icing on the cake!

I won’t list the items on my cards because I went and listed the whole darn thing a couple days ago!!! But a couple of things I’ve added since are:

1. Check the Times Guide for Woody’s Cowboy Camp!!!
2. There are special pins available for MVMCP.
3. Check the Times Guide for characters in the Judge’s Tent. (This is where we finally scored Cinderella last time! Whew!)
4. Fantasyland is less crowded before 11 am, after 7pm and during parades.


We do not have any ressies for TS in the Magic Kingdom for this trip at all. There is so much we love about this park that I don’t want to spend time sitting down for a big meal in here. Plus, there just isn’t one that offers enough for my picky sons for me to feel like it’s worth it. I considered CP… but my sons said Icks-nay on the Ooh-pay.
So! Likely CS places for us are Cosmic Ray’s, Casey’s and Pinnochio’s. I also MUST have a chocolate chip cookie from the Main Street Bakery.

So that wraps up Day 3. Next up on this fun-filled, action-packed vacay… GRAMMA’S HERE!!!! And Animal Kingdom!!!!

Did you mean Sunday, Nov 25th 'cuz you say Sat on your post? I only ask because I think Sunday is one of the best days of the week to go to the MK, so hopefully you should be good crowd-wise!

And yes we will be one of the ones leaving on Sat the 24th But I refuse to let the "door hit me, yada, yada, yada..."

My family will probably have to pry me away kicking and screaming from the park on Friday night or from Chef Mickeys on our departure morning!

It might get ugly!
