That's funny! :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I've been going through all my CD's too! I don't have an ipod but now I want one to download all these great songs/bands I've forgotten about! Rock on!

Hey you! Thanks!

I don't remember this "Tesla"! :headache: Or this "White Lion".

Maybe Monica can copy her cassettes for me! :lmao: Do you still have a cassetter player?!?

What the heck did you listen to?:rotfl2: I would pull out the insert and memorize the words to every song!

Are you making fun of me? Yes I still have a cassette player!:snooty:

You should get one! I've got the shuffle and it holds a ton of songs. I've got something like 60 on there and it is no where NEAR capacity. I try not to go to I-tunes too often though... it's almost as addictive as the DIS!

A funny story about my shuffle... We drove to visit my mom for spring break and I brought it with me. As soon as we hit the highway I put it on and Tom had to drive AND referree the kids! I was happy as a clam and he was all stressed out because they were fighting over DVD's and such and I couldn't hear a thing! :cloud9: Aw, poor Tom! Yeah, he didn't let me do that on the way home!

I would never make fun of you! It's against the rules! ;) Actually I'm sitting here and I realize we still have a cassette player too. It's sitting literally like 2feet from me!

What did I listen to? It depends on when these guys were around. Give me a ballpark year and I can probably tell you what I was into at that point.

That's funny - what a way to travel! :lmao:

I can imagine that I-tunes is addictive. I got my husband an ipod for his
40th birthday in March. I preloaded it with all kinds of stuff and was having fun doing it! He didn't think he wanted one but I knew he'd get use out of it since he travels so much. He has the one that you can put video on and will download shows he likes to watch on the plane. I just want the shuffle - maybe for Christmas??

"Hair bands" were on their way out by approx '94. Nirvana and grunge took over.:sad2: So, early 90's? I bet you were a New Kids on the Block girl!:rotfl2:

I am waaay too old to be a NKOTB girl! :lmao:

Early 90's... hmmm... I had just gotten married so I was through with college. We went through this phase then where we listened to a lot of classic U2 and Eric Clapton... that kind of thing. I guess I wasn't rockin' out at that point... trying to be all grown up and all! Maybe if I heard a song by them I'd recognize it but I just don't remember the names of the bands. :confused3

New kids... :sad2:

Def Leppard  Rick Savage was YUMMY. I was totally in love at the age of 11!:lmao:

I think I'm heading straight for Tower of Terror

How bout White Lion's "Wait?":thumbsup2

Then Rock n Roller Coaster.

We love Disney and hair bands!:rotfl:
Happy Birthday Nicole!!

And how about Tesla??!
My fave in Tesla was Tommy Skeoch. I don't know if that's how you spell it, but he was cute!

Really, you don't remember Tesla. Their most popular song was probably "love song"...love will find a way....or their remake of "Signs"....Signs signs, everywhere a sign....lalalalalalala

I still have a cassette player, too. I was just using it the other day.:rotfl:
What the heck did you listen to?:rotfl2: I would pull out the insert and memorize the words to every song!

OMG, I did the same thing! Play them over and over until I got it right.:lmao:

How bout like 1988ish? That was before NKOTB.

For the record, even though I was like 11 or 12 when they were popular, I never got into NKOTB. I was the little weirdo who stayed up until 3 a.m. every Saturday night watching Headbanger's Ball. And I still do it.:rotfl:

My name is Monica, and I used to listen to New Kids on the Block!:guilty:

Um, you are familiar with Aerosmith and Def Leppard aren't you?

Tesla redid "Signs". I'm sure you've heard it, but they had better songs than that. I can't think of them right at the moment...

Oh, I almost forgot. We're going to spend the day at Animal Kingdom then eat at Boma.

White Lion was a little bit of a one hit wonder unless you really knew them.

Hey Tat!
Is headbanger's ball still on? :confused3 I haven't seen 3 am since the last time one of my kids got up and puked in the night!

I wanted to say just one more thing and then I'm off to dreamland!

I'm going to Disney World in .................................

45 DAYS!!!!!

birthday girl out. :hippie:

Wow! I'm impressed! I have to admit, I don't know all of those!!!! There was one song by Kix that I listened to over and over again during my teenage moping days! "Don't close your eyes"? Not sure. I also had a poster of Joey Tempest in my room! Thanks for the memories!!! I'm off to bed, but I'm sure I'll have some pleasant dreams now!:cloud9:

I'm really looking forward to riding the rehabed POTC!

Yep, it was Don't close your eyes. Joey Tempest had a great set of teeth!:lmao:

POTC is so cool now! Make sure you catch Captain Jack outside the ride!:thumbsup2

Sharky said I'm cool :

It is all true:hug:

My big sister? Nope. But that would be

Thanks Sharky! It's happy so far!

Glad you had a great bday!!

She did... she really did. :sad2: But we'll forgive her cuz she's just a youngin'.

 Thank you!!! (That's my birthday dance!)

:thumbsup2 I had a metal Holly Hobbie lunch box. Thanks for the memory flashback!:)

Since everyone else admitted their crushes I'll admit that I was more into the "hair bands" so I had a HUGE poster of Jon Bon Jovi over my bed:love: Along w/ some others that I don't want to admit to!

Happy Birthday Nicole!

Love Bon Jovi:love:

main02vr3.jpg

Thanks for the visual:rotfl2:

turning the dis girls trip to a dis adults trip sounds excellent. :thumbsup2 Chris will like that better.

sounds like you've got something up your sleve for that 5th day. I'm so jealous that you are getting to go to MVMCP. I don't get to go until next year. :sad2: Now you have to do a TR when you get back to tell me all about MVMCP.

I haven't been to sea world since i was very little. I wonder how it is today. Chris has no desire to go there since that's the only place his parents would take him when he was growing up...never to disney :sad2: . i think going to sea world would bring back bad memories for him :confused3 oh well. maybe we'll go back when we have kids. id like to see how its changed.

can you believe I"m almost caught up!? off to page 10 now

haha :) im sure you knew i'd be here sooner or later. we always end up in the same places lol

We are each other's stalkers:rotfl2:

hey, I'm cool :cool1: who knew!?

UPDATE HERE!

Knock Knock……………..

Who’s There?

The special visitor!

The special visitor who?

The special visitor is……………..

GRAMMA!

Yep, it’s my Mom! :yay: I’m very excited about this! :yay: Can you tell? We’re going to just refer to her as Gramma from here on out, okay? Gramma lives just north of Tampa with my step-dad. He’s not coming cuz he’s another one of those stick-in-the-mud types! Gramma has never been to Disney! Lived in FL for 3 years now and never gone! So I was very excited when I asked her if she would come over and visit at least one park with us she said YES! :thumbsup2 She would like to come with us to Animal Kingdom. Yay! The kids are very excited as well and wish Grampa would come too… but oh well.

Now I’ve got that 5th day ticket just burning to be put on the schedule somewhere! So far I’ve only scheduled one day at Epcot and I know it isn’t enough. :sad2: This will be our first time at Epcot! We didn’t go the last trip because I thought the kids were too young for it. When I began planning the “trip that never was” it was actually an article on Epcot that gave me the bug to go again. It was on Family Fun’s website and written by Kim Wright Wiley… she is the author of Fodor’s WDW with kids… love that book! Anyway, she was explaining all the things you could do at Epcot with younger children and it got me all fired up to go! So, I’m really looking forward to Epcot this time. Owen is so psyched about test track! Oh, I veered a little there… sorry. Back to that 5th day. I’ve been trying to figure out how to use it at Epcot. We could go during the day of the 27th… the day we go to MVMCP. But then there goes the day off we wanted. Oh what to do??? Well, I’ve had this little idea rumbling around in my head just waiting for the right time to mention it to Tom. I prepared all of my valid reasons why I thought it would be a good idea. I was prepared for a lengthy debate! Sunday night I decided the time was right. I snuggled up next to him and said, “So, I’ve been thinking…”
He said, “Uh-oh.”
I said, “How many more vacation days do you have laying around?”
He said, “A few… why?” He was squinting at me and bracing himself for the blow.
I said in the most charming way I could, “Do you think you could take the day before Thanksgiving off so we could leave early and go have Thanksgiving with my mom? Then we could make a much shorter drive over to Orlando on Friday, arrive bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and go to Epcot!?”
And he said, “Oh I see… 5th day ticket, huh? “
He knows me so well!
And then he said, “I don’t see why not!”
:woohoo: WOOHOO!!! :woohoo:

Here is our NEW schedule as of right now:

Wed. 11/21 Drive to Tampa
Thu. 11/22 Thanksgiving at Gramma’s
Fri. 11/23 Drive over to Orlando ~ EPCOT!
Sat. 11/24 MGM ~ Oh alright, Hollywood Studios!
Sun. 11/25 Magic Kingdom
Mon. 11/26 Animal Kingdom
Tues. 11/27 Day off and then MVMCP
Wed. 11/28 Sea World
Thu. 11/29 EPCOT
Fri. 11/30 Head for home

Stay tuned for daily details including ADR’s and our must-do’s for each park!
I will also begin to post pictures of “The Loot”, shirts I am making, our countdown calendar ~ fun stuff like that!

Thanks for reading and sticking with me on this adventure!
~Nicole :goodvibes
