making dinner reservations

Hi all!

I am purchasing the dining package for our 1/06 trip to WDW. I want to be sure to use all the meals I will be paying for so I have some questions:

1. How soon do I need to make reservations for the restuarants?

2. We are not renting a car, the only mode of transportation we will have is the buses. Would it just be easier to make reservations for a table dinner at the park we are going to be visiting that day?

3. My husband has a food allergy. I have heard they are very accomidating to this type of thing...true?

If you are staying at a Disney resort you can make your dining reservations 100 days before your trip. I suggest you check out the menus on allearsnet.com......dining....menus. Great source of information.
It is not a good idea to schedule (for example) a meal in the Disney Studios if you plan on the Magic Kingdom for that day. You may want to eat at the resorts close to the theme park you will be in for that day, or that part of the day. From the Magic Kingdom you can easily get to the Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian using the monorail, or boats. You can also walk to the Contemporary from the MK entrance in about ten minutes. Epcot has a lot of great places to eat in World Showcase. From both Epcot and the Disney Studios you can easily get to the Boardwalk area by boat or walking. There are a lot of great restaurants in this area. Check out the Boardwalk Inn, Beach Club, Yacht Club, Swan and Dolphin for dining options.
I have read many, many times that all Disney restaurants go out of their way to take care of everyone with any special needs or allergies. You might want to mention this when you call to make your reservations.
