Making Dining Reservations?

My wife and I are using our points to take her family to WDW this year. My MiL wants to make sure all our dining reservations are made as early as possible. So if I'm correct, since we are staying on property we can make all 10 days worth of reservations at the 180 day mark.

My question is "Do I have to call to do this?" or "Is there some way to make all the reservations online?"

I've done dining reservations online before but I've never been able to bring up my DVC room reservation on the main WDW website. I don't know if it's even possible so I don't know how the system would know I'm staying on property.

Normally, you can make your reservation online or on the phone, using the 180+10 perk, and your DVC reservation #. I have done it more than once. I was able to connect my ADRs to my DVC reservation # on the dining page.

Currently though, I have read on the dining boards, there is some problem preventing the +10 from being used online (that was for all guests, not DVC specifically). I am not sure if they have fixed that now or not - you might check on the Dining / Reservations board for the current situation. If it's still broken (or whatever) you would have to call on the phone.

Unless you are planning a lot of popular character meals, I've never had a problem using the online system for reservations without the 180+10 feature.

You might try going in through www.mydisneyreservation.com/dvc to see if you can link to your reservation for booking the 180+10 dining.

The 2 she's concerned about the most are CRT and Hoop-de-doo.

You might try going in through www.mydisneyreservation.com/dvc to see if you can link to your reservation for booking the 180+10 dining.

I couldn't find a link to dining from there.

Thanks for the link but the problem is that site won't recognize my DVC room reservation. The other link does recognize it but doesn't connect to the dining reservation site.

Hoop de Doo really should not be a problem, I've usually booked it only a few months out and never had any trouble.

CRT could be a problem, really, you should call for that, not book it online at all. The preferreed times go fast.

Thanks to another DISers thread (sorry, i don't remember who it was) I found out that you can now access your DVC reservation on the main WDW website.

Now just have to wait another 108 days to make dining reservations.
