Making Character Interactions Magical!!!!!

The characters always have good reactions to a stuffed animal or toy of themselves or another character. DD4, who is all about Minnie , took one of her stuffed Minnies to the MK. Mickey had great reactions, Pluto cradled Minnie and rocked her to sleep, and Minnie herself gave DD a big smooch on the head.

It's also fun to talk to Donald in a duck voice. DDs made me do that every time we met him. The best was when he just shook his head and pointed at me (as if to say, "is your dad nuts?") He also gets rather upset if you point to him and say, "Hey, look! It's Mickey Mouse!"

Just say whatever comes to mind, the characters are great.

DS2 told Aurora that she was his favorite because she wears pink. We saw her later in the trip and she told Peter Pan "I'm his favorite Princess!"

I asked Buzz where Andy was and I apologized for not bringing him a box of Darjeeling tea.

I will have to remember some of these for our next trip. It is easy to forget about trying to get the interaction. My kids just go up, get the autograph, stand for a pic and go on our merry way.

We asked Mary Poppins what Bert's last name was. The Mary Poppins at the Norway breakfast rattle off without missing a beat that his full name was Albert something. We couldn't remember what she said the last name was. So when we saw her again at 1900 Park Fare, she said, "That's a good question. I always called him Bert the Chimney Sweep."
Also, at MVMCP, we watched Mickey's Night Before Christmas show in which Mickey and Minnie at one point were in a bed together. I later asked Minnie if she had a ring from Mickey. She of course said no and then I told her how inappropriate I thought it was for her to be in the bed with Mickey and she was never gonna get a ring if she kept that up. She got a big kick out of that one.

As a previous poster stated if you are wearing a shirt or similar item of one of the characters they go nuts. Last year dd 4 and I wore matching shirts that had a picture of dd, myself and pluto on it. When pluto noticed what dd had on he literllay went nuts over it and brought her to all the other characters in the area to show off her shirt. DD loved every minute of the attention.
