Is it true that if you book a package land and sea through a travel agent that you cannot change any aspect of that trip? We are flying out Easter Sunday and wanted to fly out Saturday instead and was told we could not. Also wanted to cancel the transfers with Disney and do our own and was told we could not. I was just wondering if this is true?

Sounds like your TA does not want to bother with making any changes.

A good TA should be able to make any changes that you want. If you take Disney air it is possible that there are no flights available for that Saturday and that's why they said you can't change the flight.

You could definiately cancel the transfers...I can't see why that would be a problem for them unless you already paid in full and they don't want to bother in trying to get you refunded for the transfers.

Yes the trip is paid in full but we wanted to cancel the transfers before and they told us no. I don't think that I will ever book with a TA again. It seems better if you do everything yourself.

There are some excellent TA's and agencies out there...don't give up on them all.

Did they give any explanation as to why you could not cancel the transfers??

Just a question.....why would you want to cancel the transfers for the land/sea?? Now that I am thinking about it more, the land/sea may have the transfers built into the package and maybe that's why you can't take them off. Also, in regards to the flight. It called either Custom Air or a Deviation Air. That just means if you wanted to fly in a different day than what the package offers it will cost more. That is standard in the cruise industry.

We have had transfers with DCL before but only on cruise only trips.

We did the 4 day WDW and 3 day Wonder Cruise last year. We were able to make changes with transportaion. We had done our own air since we were using coupons. We also added an extra day at WDW on the beginning of the trip I will admit it was a pain that we had to check into POR twice. I'm hoping that has changed as sometimes the lines at the resorts are long.....

I agree that if you have a good TA, they should be able to atleast make the transfer changes for you. I go through AAA and after our initial booking, I correspond with my TA via email. It's works well as I have in writing my request and her response.
