Making ADR's when park times haven't been released yet!?

We're heading to WDW in January, and so we'll be able to make our ADR's in July sometime. Yay!

However... park opening times for January won't be released until August, by my current calculations. Booo!

So... how do you book restaurants without knowing what time a park opens or closes!?

For example, we want to have breakfast at Crystal Palace, but want to be there before park opening time, so we can gobble down our breakfast, then still make it to the big rides by opening time.

So how does one make ADR's?! Just have a guess and change the ADR later, if need be?

Eeep, it's all so bamboozling!! :confused3

I just posted something similar and am curious as well. I am trying to plan a Princess Epcot breakfast, then want to make sure we fo not plan any Parks or ADR for a night they have the ppp we want to attend. So confusing!

Some choices -

Wait to make your reservations until the park hours come out

Roll the dice and base your reservations on past park hours

This is one of the downfalls on having to make dining reservations and feeling the need to do that 180 days in advance.

For Crystal Palace I believe that 8am is the first time you can make a reservation no matter what time the park opens. You could always look at last years park hours and guess what they may before this year and what days EMH might be. I did that for Oct and was dead on for what the hours would be for each day.

I would just make them now based on your guesses, that way you don't risk not getting something that you would like and if you need to tweek them when the hours do come out.

The park hours are now up for November so they should be up for Jan before it is time for you to make your adr's. For my past few trips the times for the parks have always been up before the 180 day mark. I would just keep checking. I am waiting for the Dec. park times to make my ressies. If they end up not being up I would just take a guess and try and change them later if possible, if you see the need.

Mom2Kate-Anna,

Where can I find the Nov. park hours? I'm afraid I've been looking in the wrong place! I've been watching the "calendar" on the Disney website, but for November, I think it still says "hours unavailable." Can you let us know where to find the hours? That would be so helpful to be able to see them now! :)

Thanks so much!

November hours aren't out yet as far as I can find.

If you look at the previous year's hours for the same month, you can get a general idea of times, although not necessarily EMH. I don't think they'll let you make an ADR for when the park will be closed, though.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions, everybody!! :thumbsup2

I guess I'll just wait and see if the opening times are up by the time I have to make my ADRs, and if not, I'll just take a guess and rearrange my ADRs later if need be.

Cool, thanks guys!! :yay:
