The tip that I hear is to make ADR's for "Off" times. Can somebody give me some examples of when "Off" times are? I am looking to book a dinner but times for all the meals that would be considerd "Off" would be helpful.

Thanks!:coffee:

For lunch i would say 11 to 11:30 or after 2. For dinner 4 to 5 or after 8. I have found that 4 to 5 is the best for dinner because when you book the later if things got backed up it could be an hour after you ADR time that you get seated.

I completely agree. Last year we made ours around 4:30 and it worked out great in the evenings. We could cruise through the parks, take a nap at the hotel, make it to our meal and then have the whole evening free (which is great for lines when everyone else goes to eat at 5 or 6).

Early dinners are great. If you're like our family does sometimes, it's also a great money saver. We will sometimes skip breakfast (especially if we sleep in), eat an early lunch around 10:30-11:00, and by the time 4:00-4:30 hits, we're all starving again. A big dinner will usually last us through the evening, leaving just enough room for a late snack.

this is what we do too, well almost, my kids are up so early that even with breakfast they're hungry again by 11!

We always try to eat dinner 5:00-ish (or in the case of Le Cellier, closer to 4). That way, waits are shorter.

We (well, *I*) usually make the latest lunch reservation I can which is around 3ish or so. I've never had a problem getting in at that time. We don't get to the parks until 11:00 or even noon so we grab a quick bite for "breakfast" and then the later lunch gets us through until we are ready to leave the parks.

Thanks for all the tips. Our kids are early risers (between 6 and 7 usually), so I think eating a quick B-fast before leaving in the morning will tide them over for a bit, then I think an early lunch and early dinner before retiring to for the evening. If need be we can have a light snack before bed too.

I appreciate all the feedback and if anyone else has more, we still have 3-months till we leave and I will be reading up on the boards until then.

I just made the rest of my ADRs last night for Sept. and was able to get all but 2 that I wanted, however, all my dinner ressies are for 7:45, or later (most @ 8) which is fine for us since we are from CA and eating late doesn't really affect us. The 2 I wasn't able to get, for any time, on the days I wanted, were Coral Reef and 50's PT Cafe. :confused3 I was able to get Sci Fi at 1:50 for a late lunch. I already had booked, months back, ADRs for LTT, CG, PSB, and Narcoossee's. This trip we are skipping LC-wasn't that great last year :sad2: . Those were the ones I knew would be hardest to get for us. I didn't figure I would be able to get CR, but I'll still keep checking on that one. I was surprised that I couldn't get 50's. Hopefully, someone will cancel on the days I want, and I can still get in. If not, I made ADRS for somewhere else, we won't starve! :rotfl2:

We usually eat dinner at 6 or so but we have dined at CP for the last few years (for the MNSSHP and MVMCP) at 4:30 and it was perfect. Not that busy at all and the food was wonderful.
