Making ADRs before booking vacation package?

We are waiting for our Disney Visa card to come through before we book our trip, but we have started in on our 180 days, can we go ahead and make some ADRs even though we aren't in the system as guests yet?

We just applied today for the Visa... I hope it doesn't take long... anyone know how long on average it takes? All the final page says is that they are required by law to contact us within 30 days, there is no way it is that long?!?!

So can I make my ADRs yet?

Anyone can make ADR's 180 days out. You don't have to have a reservation on property to do so. We stay in Shades of Greeen, while on property, it's not a Disney property and we do not show up in Disney's system as a guest. What I don't know if booking a package makes a difference other than you could have booked 180 days out from your first day (no more than 10 days ahead of the 180 mark) instead of no more than 180 days from your last day.

Yes you can but you can only book 1 ADR per day. I booked ours in September for March. My special package wasn't out yet for us Canadians, so I called on my 180 days but had to call constantly 8 days after that to book all 8 days of my DDP. No problems and got all my restaurants I wanted.
